Beautiful

Posted Sep 22, 2017
We loved everything about Hotel Garden. We only stayed one night but will be considering a return of several nights. Lavish breakfast, clean and nice rooms, comfortable beds. On a hilltop close to Siena, the setting is beautiful with nice gardens.

Amazingly helpful and personal service.

Posted Jul 7, 2017
Hotel Garden is a 30 min gentle walk into the centre of Siena, but well worth it. Set in peaceful gardens, the pool area dotted with olive trees, a huge terrace outside for all meals, and the best service I've ever experienced. Staff were genuinely kind and very friendly, and provided such a personal and careful service which my adult daughter and I (Mum!) hugely valued. All staff spoke excellent English. We used the local bus service to get to San Gimignano for a day trip and the hotel will provide info. about this or anything you need help with. We found it very clean - essential to overall happiness and not always that easy to achieve, it seems! Food at the hotel was good but not outstanding, I'd say. Siena is stunning. If you want a quiet, cared-for hotel in its own grounds, and a truly restful break - and are ok with the walk into the city (local bus every half hour but not after 8pm), or happy to use taxis, this is a wonderful base for seeing some of Tuscany. We heard dodgy stories of hiring a car but would have considered using Siena companies to get around hiring from the airport. Apparently Europcar in Siena can even bring the car to the hotel (for an additional charge) which might be worth considering. Ask the hotel about this. And have a fabulous, truly relaxing time.

Excellent!!

The hotel was easy to find, reception was extremely helpful about everything, the bus stop for the bus into the centre of the city was outside the entrance. The room was clean and well furnished, and provided everything we needed. The bar and restaurant staff were superb. The food in the restaurant was top class, and the snacks that were put on the bar during the afternoon were unexpected but very welcome. Breakfast was excellent, very good choice, and all fresh. Top marks!

Good hotel in lovely setting but.....

Posted Jun 12, 2017 on Ebookers
Pros: All the staff were helpful but the Restaurant Manager went out of his way to arrange for us to have simple meals (not on the menu) at dinner
Cons: The restaurant menu (which did not change during our stay) for dinner was appalling. Designed with no consideration for the guests tastes.
Location: Excellent position with great views over Siena from the extensive terrace. Lovely garden setting with a pool in the grounds.
Excellent hotel in great position with views over Siena which is only a short taxi ride away. Wi-fi is free but connection is very problamatic however there is a PC (possibly more than one) available to guests.

Quiet hotel close to town and train station

I found the hotel to be very nice, clean and the view was absolutely beautiful. My only issue was some of the staff seemed like it was an imposition for us to be there. While others were very helpful.

Charming, picturesque on the outskirts of Siena

Posted May 30, 2017 on Hotels
Charming, picturesque hotel on the outskirts of Siena. Room was in an adjoining building and there was ample parking right in front. The complementary breakfast was fantastic and was quite enough to last one well until after lunchtime. The outdoor terrace was lovely and gave a great view of Siena and the surrounding area

Lovely Hotel, excellent stay.

Posted Mar 4, 2017
Pros: It was beautiful.
Cons: Nothing for us.
Location: Plenty to do, but get the bus into the main part of Siena, it saves you an extra 30m walking time and they run every half hour from outside the hotel.
We were blown away by how lovely the hotel was. The room was really large so we didn't feel squashed, like we have in some other European hotels. The staff were really lovely and helpful. Breakfast was really good too, we found the set up really easy and nothing was rushed. The staff, again, were really helpful and obviously took pride in their work. The setting was incredible, the view from breakfast was breathtaking and the grounds are lovely. We were in one of the outer buildings, but this was a positive. It was a minutes walk from the main hotel and really quiet. Couldn't fault it.

Very relaxing. One of the best breakfasts we've had in Italy
