Nearly perfect for our needs

We had a Superior Room on the mezzanine floor which faced sideways and was very quiet, but even the rooms facing the street would not be very noisy. The room was new and comfortable. The shower was hot with good pressure. The bed was nice and firm. The breakfast was excellent. Some people may be disappointed not to have a kettle in the room (but there is free coffee in the bar) and some may find the 25 steps to the mezzanine floor to be a problem, but these things were not issues for us.

Charming Hotel, a short walk to the walled city. Location was excellent especially as we took the train at the end of our visit. Very nice bar area, clean room and bathroom. Breakfast room a bit small. The staff were very helpful.

Wonderful hotel

Location: 20 minute walk to the Piazza del Campo. Outside there are numerous bus stops/ train station (1 min walk, cross the road, down several escalators).
I have been to this hotel 4 years in a row and still love it. The staff are wonderful and the hotel is in a great location. I can't sing the praises of the staff enough and how accommodating they are. I always enjoy my stay here and find it to be a reasonably priced hotel, near numerous transport links and close enough to the centre to walk in 15-20 minutes, but far away from the noise at night. Perfect stay. Will be back again!

Pros: The staff were very willing to provide whatever we needed -- from extra linens to quick purchase of concert tickets to sightseeing information.
Cons: Breakfast could be a bit more varied, offering more selections.
Location: The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the arch leading into the heart of Siena. We spent most of our time within the walled city.
Truly enjoyed our stay. Staff was so pleasant, courteous and accommodating. Rooms were spotless and spacious.

Perfect little hotel

Pros: Location, staff, cleanliness, fun atmosphere.
Cons: Maybe parking
Location: Siena doesn't have a ton of sites, but it is a cute little town and worth seeing. A large church and tower to see in the main square and a nice park.
This was a funky, little family owned hotel just outside of the city gate in Siena. We had an executive suite so our room comfort was probably better than it might be in other rooms, but the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and it was within easy walking distance to the sites for us. Parking is a little tricky but you can reserve a spot for $10 euros with the hotel to park in their back lot. Overall we found this hotel totally enjoyable and would stay here again if ever in Siena.

We had a great stay at Hotel Italia. The staff were fabulous-very helpful and friendly. Although the rooms are not large they are comfortable. The breakfast was a great addition to our stay. The hotel is conveniently located near to the train station and the old city walls of Siena. We would definitely stay here again if visiting Siena.

Pros: The location was ideal for a train arrival and for access to the city in a safe area and a nice comfortable room with a large bathroom.
Cons: Perhaps extra pillows and some better sound insulation as you could hear people in the toilet above and the snoring of adjoining resident.
Location: A few minutes walk from the shopping mall which gives direct well sign posted access to railway and Siena a few minutes walk to the city gates
Easy to find on leaving the station and going through the shopping centre . Staff all very pleasant and helpful and room very nice though on the front did have some road noise but knew that when booked. The breakfast was very fresh and varied and set us up for a day with the walk into Siena only a few minutes to the city walls
