Just exceptional. Staff is phenomenal. Was offered capuchinos when coming in. Representative took us around the hotel which is beautiful and gave us a room upgrade. Best room I have eber had with a living room and large fully remodeled bathroom. The garden is a solutely beautiful and pool is so pretty. The reastaurent belong to the hotel and is excellent.Had dinner and free breakfast was included.

The property is in a lovely renovated medieval Tuscan village which is very quaint but limited in variety of eating establishments and shops and what is there has very limited and inspiring menu items. Staff in the restaurant connected to the hotel seem to be poorly trained in good customer service. There is no intimacy in their approach to customers, they seem distant and unsure of themselves. In two weeks in Tuscany staying in six different hotels this was our least favourable stay and by no means the least expensive. Over priced and over advertised as a Relais hotel in my mind.

Yes. Yes. YES! This hotel was amazing!!
This was such a beautiful hotel, located in a beautiful area. The staff were friendly and helpful. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and would DEFINITELY stay here again in the future! The hot tub/jacuzzi was a HUGE plus with our legs being sore from walking and exploring all the nearby villages.

The place was amazing. The staff was very attentive and welcoming. The facility was very nice and clean the rooms were very comfortable , the garden was beautiful enjoyed wine and coffee there. Everyone was very pleasant as well as the restaurant. We will definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

Getting to the hotel is a BIG challenge!...the hotel should clarify the directions to get there. Additionally, no place to park the car at all!! It was quite horrible just to off load the luggage. To keep the car overnight, had to go to another outside parking location. There was only one person trying to check-in three arrivals...so no help and long wait! :-( Other than the above: the rooms are clean...although no elevator to get up to the rooms...so get ready to carry luggage over many stairs! :-)

The location is great, their restaurant is excellent and the exterior garden is nice. We had 2 rooms. One smelled liked an old wood chimney and the toilet seat was coming off. The door squeezed loudly. Air conditioner in 2nd room did not work at all.

The staff were very nice and helpful, from greeting to showing us all the amenities. The gardens were beautiful. We parked below in public parking and walked a short distance uphill to get there, inside a very old walled city, very picturesque. Breakfast was great. This property is ideally located to venture out into Tuscany.

Quaint, fun property and great staff
Hotel is really cool - it is in the center of a walled town in an old stone building. Beautiful garden area off the second floor. Rooms were a little funky as might be expected but clean and totally serviceable. The staff was great - loved Coco and Mario. Coco drove down to the parking area below town to grab our bags for us and was just a friendly and helpful guy. The town of San Quirico d'Orcia is pretty but kind of on the quiet side. We liked it for a night but in retrospect with limited time in Tuscany I would have voted for Orvieto or maybe Siena or Montalcino over this town. The hotel restaurant that is off the grounds was highly recommended to us but ended up being one of the most disappointing meals of our trip. Hate to say that because maybe they had an off night but it was a completely uninspired meal in a trip that was full of great ones.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of San Quirico.
We liked a lot the character of the hotel and above all the willingness of the staff to help us and offer us the best they could. Very clean and nicely decorated room, beautiful garden, great breakfast and coffee and snacks for the afternoon. Really nothing to complain.

The hotel is great and the location could not be better. The room and bathroom was very comfortable. The only comment I would have is that the hotel needs to do a better job at advising customers on how to reach the hotel, parking etc. We spent a lot of time looking for ways to get close to the hotel as there are a lot of ZTL - no drive zones close to the hotel. We parked outside the town and walked up about 50 steps to the hotel only to find out that they had a shuttle which we could use.

The hotel is amazing in every way. Arrival was great with lovely staff who helped us to our room and explained everything. Afternoon tea- with cakes and all free! Room was lovely and facilities just perfect. The garden is just wonderful- prosecco in the sunshine. We used the hotels restaurant, which is just up the street. Again just wonderful service and food. Breakfast was just fantastic. Buffet with everything you could want-we are vegetarians and there was a good choice of pastries, fruit, bread and so much else! On leaving we were taken by hotel bus down to the car park. Great service! Great value for money. We are going back soon.

The place is pretty and located inside of a historical old town. It s very charming, little narrow alleys around it where you can walk. i guess it s prettier in summer as we went in winter and it was really cold. It s a place where couple goes for spa and maybe for weekend getaway. We stayed in a two story family room where my two kids had a great time as the ceiling was lower and they think it s lot of fun. The bed is not so comfortable, the room was cold as the heater was central and couldnt be adjusted. The furnitures were rustic but not welly made. We went also for the michelin recommended restaurant, but we got a little disappointed. The staffs are sooo friendly and so nice, the service is great, it includes breakfast, snacks, tea snacks and night snacks. So u got food the whole day! But we are picky in both hotel and foods, so we might not be going back again.

Quiet base montelpucino
Hotel is in the quaint village of montelpucino. All you would need for an overnight or few days stay. Free car par 5minutes away. We stayed in the main building. No elevator for those that need we were fine and only on 1st floor (30 steps)

This hotel was the best! Beautiful, quaint, clean comfortable. The restaurant attached to the hotel was fabulous. The breakfast was a feature in itself: chucks of pecorino cheese, Tuscan cheese, home made cookies. San Quirico was also pleasant and friendly.

Very central and easy to walk in the old town.
This is a very lovely hotel and we enjoyed it -- the staff is very nice. There is no elevator and a lot of step to climb if that is an issue. We stayed in a room on the front and it was noisy. (We had to open the window for air) The room was not large and a bit crowded but pretty, and lovely old beams . there is a lovely terrace with flowers and a pretty garden view. There is tea and cake in the afternoon and that was a very nice extra touch.

Beautiful hotel in small hill town. Newly renovated from the looks of it. Great garden area to sit and relax in. Big room, furnished with antiques. Big breakfast, afternoon tea. Awesome town with great garden(built 1500's) and original town wall. Not overly touristy yet, very close to the popular hill towns.

Great hotel for one night and for a week stay
Location - in the city center, close to all historic places and views. Parking - have to reserve and pay or leave your car on the public parking which is safe Rooms - beautiful rooms, mattress comfy, all you need is in the room, can even ask for massage in the room. Breakfast - good, they make different coffees by request. Hotel has a restaurant for dinner - very recommended. It was the best hotel and best food during our week trip. We regret that we couldn't stay longer.

We only stay at the finest hotels. This was one of the best hotels! Ask for the Capricorno room-it's very romantic. Fine at the restaurant. It's great! Breakfast actually had lactose-free milk (versus almond milk or soy milk)! Loved this place! I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Fabulous way to experience the Montalcino area.
The town of San Quirico D'Orcia is beautiful and charming. Great little authentic restaurants. Lovely gardens. Perfect old walled city in the Brunello di Montalcini wine region. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The hotel is from the 1300's. Architecturally the place is amazing. From afternoon tea and cakes to the great breakfast buffet, we were astounded by the quality. We can't wait to go back. Gracie!

My husband and I were traveling through Tuscany and somehow missed booking our stay for just one night. He decided to look for a place in Siena and found this hotel. We were initially disappointed when we realized that the hotel was not at all in Siena, but what a pleasant surprise it was! We ended up saying that this was the best mistake we made on our trip! The staff were so friendly and made many special accommodations for us (allowed us to park closer to the entrance for unloaded, they made a very late night dinner reservation for us [with a 10% off discount card], and even upgraded our room after learning that we had gotten lost and would be checking in quite late). The town is very quaint and we enjoyed the shops and many opportunities to take amazing photos. We are already planning our next trip to Italy, and now have another MUST to add to our list!

First the best. You have to leave your car outside of the walled city in San Quirico and the guy who goes with you to get your luggage is great even not speaking English. We stayed in the annex building (Cassiopea room) and our room didn't have air conditioning or at least a fan. And it was hot at night this June! We also felt that the bed and pillows were in the hard side. Another problem we had was the noise coming from the room above us. Maybe we were just not lucky but the people sleeping upstairs woke up very early and it seemed they were jumping as high as they could. Another thing that was annoying was the fact that they would not replace food in the breakfast buffet (specially fruit) after 9:30 even considering that it should be served between 7:30 and 11:00. A good hotel but I don't think they deserve their 4 star rating (at least if you stay in the annex building).
