The hotel room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The matriarch was bossy and wanted us to pay cash. After arguing with her she called the son in and there wasn't a problem.

Great value and location.Posted Jul 17, 2015 on Hotels
A great location inside San gimignano. A lovely spacious room with period beams. Really good value. Park right at the main arch entrance to the city where you can leave your car for 20 minutes and walk straight up the street to the bakers at number 88 where they will give you the keys and show you free parking locations.

No car accessPosted Dec 7, 2013 on Hotels
There is no car access, so we have had to carry our luggage by hand. Also take in account there is no lift, rather a middle ages steps. Take care - The hotel owner clues he does not recognize credit cards for a room payments, we have been requested to pay in cash.

Great location, right in the town center but still quiet as on the second floor, facing away from the street. Only problem is checking in - youhave to go to the bakery down the street to contact the owner. Ask around, the locals will direct you tothe right place.

Right inside the city wallsPosted Jun 5, 2013 on Hotels
This was not a hotel, but just room that was being rented out by the owners of the pastry shop. It was perfect if all you want is a room inside the city walls. Be advised that you have to get your key from the pastry shop down the street.

Fantastic hotel/appartement at a remarkable place. Extraordinary view from the kitchen. Just in the center. Very good value for money.
Great value, good location.Posted Sep 18, 2012 on Hotels
This hotel is right on the main tourist road, Via San Giovanni, which makes everything easy to find and walk to. The owner Barbara also owns a bakery at 88 Via San Giovanni - a great place to get breakfast as it does the cheapest coffee we could find, along withreasonably priced paninis and pastries.

Convenient and pleasant stay at Sangi apartmentsPosted Jun 19, 2012
Pros: Convenient, pleasant and quiet
Location: Great location but tricky to find given old and new numbers which mark San Gimignano sites.
My room in San Gimignano was convenient and lovely. From my 4th floor window, the view was of the Tuscan countryside beyond the walls of the city. The city is charming and alive. The shopkeepers adjacent to the entrance to Sangi apartments were helpful and kind.

A reasonale San Gimignano B & B near the centrePosted May 28, 2012
Pros: The view was exceptional. Room was quiet. The keys are collected from a bakery about halfway up Via San Giovanni on the left hand side
Cons: The address was misleading. No breakfast. No Wifi
Location: There are new stamped street numbers which are not the ones your need. The 21 you're after is in old faded black numbers.
There are quite a few stairs to be scaled before you get to the rooms but the views from the window of the Tuscan landscape are the best I have ever seen.
