"What an absolute gem of a place! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. It felt like we were staying in a mansion of our very own. "This is my only review from my odyssey from SW Florida to wine country CA, and back. Aside from a friend’s home in CA, nothing comes remotely close to the quality of this experience at Greenway Manor. It took a call which was answered promptly by a very pleasant entrepreneur to get settled in. She set me up in a beautiful bungalow behind the main house next to a garage with a nice mural on the side. The place was clean, spacious, and well appointed. Sandwiched between hotels/motels, ranging from filthy to clean in common areas and rooms, staffed with from high level professionals to desk agents sitting at tables with phone and soda leaving a ‘be back soon’ sign, or sitting in a back room out of earshot, or leaving their post to accommodate continental breakfast patrons, only answering “is anybody here?” the third time with “you’ve got to be a little patient.” No, actually I’m paying you to not abandon your post and ignore my calls until you feel like it. The best was the desk agent in company polo and flannel pajama bottoms! If this sounds like wasting money to you as well, seek out places like the Greenway Manor. Should I find myself within 25 miles or so of the place again, that’s where I’m staying. And I’ll leave time to check out her restaurant downtown Bisbee."

"Upon arrival at The Carrick, there was a minor glitch. We were given keys to the room we had booked, but when we got to the room, it was apparent that housekeeping had not yet cleaned the room (i.e., beds not made, etc.). We went back to the front desk where they apologized and found us another room. It took about 5 minutes while they went to check out the new room before sending us there, but in the mean time we sat on the comfortable sofa in the lobby and enjoyed the snacks and cold drinks they had given us upon arrival. The new room would have been a higher price than the one we had booked, but they gave it to us for the price of the room we had booked, along with a complimentary jar of jelly. The thing we liked most about The Carrick was the size of the huge spacious suite. We had Room 203 and it was decorated in a cute Western theme, with cow-patterned pillows and Western artwork. The kitchen was fully equipped with fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, dishes, coffee maker, coffee supplies, a dining table, and an island with bar stools. Down the hall outside the room was a fridge & a table containing assorted breakfast items, which you could take back to the suite. We felt The Carrick was great value for the money and would highly recommend it."
