"This is a sweet quirky little chalet style hotel. It was built in 1833 ish and has some cool historical photos on the walls. It was fun to stay here for a night here after staying in more typical boutique hotels the rest of our trip. The receptionist was friendly and helped us find a place to eat near by when we arrived late, that we walked to. Breakfast was served in a tavern type space and was also wonderful. It felt very safe as well. The town it’s located in appears to be primarily a fishing village which is nice to see up close. It’s a short walk to the water from the hotel. "

"Getting to the guesthouse was a bumpy ride, be careful midway as there is a big difference in elevation, our suv most definitely hit the ground pretty hard. Other than this instance, the host was sweet and greeted me and gave me a tour for the guesthouse. The room was quaint and the facilities were clean. There is a hot tub in the back but i wasn’t able to check it out, though it wouldve been nice if I wasnt so tired. Would recommend! :)"

"Wonderful 2-week stay photographing Northern Lights and exploring the middle-north of Iceland. Excellent, comfortable, basic rooms, with a very nice shared kitchen. There's a small store across the street with gas/benzin, a moderate range of foods and supplies, and a selection of fresh fruits/vegetables. Host is responsive and friendly, and multiple times asked if I needed anything. I can highly recommend Sunnuberg Guesthouse. It is clean, well-maintained, and comfortable as a home base for exploring the region."

"karuna Guesthouse was one of our favorite properties. We were greeted by the owner and shown to our room. They room was SPOTLESS and large with a tea kettle, tv, full bathroom and hairdryer!! They have thought of everything! There is a free breakfast included, and also use of a kitchen. A superbly clean and wonderful place to stay!!"

"We thought it was special that our room was attached to the local museum. While there isn’t a lot to do in the area, it’s very nice to walk around outside exploring after fixing our meal in the the lovely apartment. "
