Great motel, great staff, great comfort!

Pros: Friendly staff and attention to details
Cons: Keep up the good work
Location: Loved the location! We found several fun shops, eating places and many helpful people to guide us. The City of Rocks was a great place to visit.
My wife and I came to celebrate her birthday and we were pleased to be welcomed by such a friendly helpful staff. The room, bed, breakfast, cookies @ 8 combined with the wonderful staff to make our stay an incredible and memorable time in Southern New Mexico. Thank you!

no smoking

This is a very nice Hotel and I would especially recommend it to my friends with children because of the in door pool. There was a problem with Hotel.com reservation. I pick this hotel because it suppose to be smoking, which I ended up having to book a second room at the motel 6 next door.

The pool was not heated and the hot tub was not working, sad for the kiddo! The hot(egg, potato, sausage) breakfast was not very good but there where other choices available such as cereal, oatmeal waffles yogurt, pastries, fresh fruit eat.

TWO DAY STAY

The room was as expected, appeared clean and held no surprises, the bathroom as in most overnight stays had a combination fan and light that was beyond normal. was clean enough. Had misunderstanding regarding pet charges, turns out it was my fault after reading the fine print, my impression of a stay was the duration however, that is not so, a stay is each day so they should state that as each day.

TV broken, thin walls, housekeeping never came! Not enough tables to eat, not enough food!

Overall experience

Pros: Not Much
Cons: Just about everything. Would make a great Motel 6.
Location: Easy to get to, Gila Cliff Dwellings about two hours away.
Front self opening door broken, staff not overly friendly, no elevator, room lay out terrible(sink in open bed room, toilet and shower in such a small area you could hardly turn around, breakfast worst that other Comfort Inns we stayed in, no morning USA Today, asked for local paper told gas station down the road had one. Comfort Inns in Farmington and Gallup were great experiences this Silver City was not.

it was nice. convenient to plenty of restaurants. went to see Gila Cliff Dwellings so it was convenient to that. overall a good experience.

weekend stay

Pros: Convenient, staff was friendly
Cons: Front door issue
Location: We were not tourists for this trip. There for a family function but plan on going back to be tourists.
The fron door was broken (automatic door) so you had to push it open and then pull it closed. The door was heavy and did not get help from the staff to do this. We were able to get it done but what if some guests could not. Also had trouble using the room card. Handle had to be jiggled a little to get the card to work.

A Nice, Clean Place

We stayed here on the way to some place else. The hotel is a standard, mid market accommodation. The staff was pleasant at check in and the room was adequate for the night. We had to drive to the downtown area to find a nice place to eat. The hot tub had some strange looking bubbles and did not look inviting; same for the nearby pool.
