Location: The turn off of Rte 180 could be better marked, we think.
Good temperature control, good beds, good breakfasts, good service makes for a good stay.

Thanks for the feedback Linda! We wish we could have better road exposure, but at the least, Wendy's has been kind enough to let us have a sign on their property over the years

Sorry we could not squeeze you into a king room on the first floor. We only have 2 king rooms on the lower level, as most are on the 3rd floor where most guests enjoy a quieter top floor.

Great hotel in area of many interesting places.

Posted Oct 14, 2016
Pros: We liked the location and not having to go anywhere else to eat breakfast.
Visited Silver City with friends for the week end. They had not been here before. We enjoyed showing them some of the points of interest in the short time we had. Will be back.

Secluded but in town.

Posted Sep 26, 2016
Pros: See above
Cons: Hide the dumpster better in the back of the hotel.
Location: see above
The hotel is set back from the main highway leading into town. This makes it very quiet. It sets on a small dead end road that makes for no traffic. The views from the 'back' side of the hotel show the 'Kneeling Nun Mesa' and forest. The sun rose over the Kneeling Nun Mesa every morning. The only sour note about the view is that immediately below the window was the hotel dumpster. Get the 3rd floor room and the dumpster will not be noticed unless one looks down. The hotel has a nice elevator so a 3rd floor room is not a problem. Nice staff who were very helpful. This is a dog friendly hotel and all the dogs were very quiet. It is about 10 minutes into downtown Silver City from the hotel and it is very close to the turnoff to Pinos Altos. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Silver City in the future.

Great Hotel, Horrible Beds

Posted Sep 15, 2016
This was a great hotel but turned off by the worst, hardest beds we have ever encountered. They need to replace with a better quality bed. Staff was great and cleanliness, location are ideal.

We're sorry the beds were not up to your standards. Our beds are Simmons Beautyrest mattresses, and were replaced August of 2014. We are in the process of ordering 3" pillowtop mattress pads to put on the matresses for guests who want a softer bed, and leave them off for guests who enjoy a firmer bed. Thanks for choosing to stay with us, we appreciate you visiting Silver City.

Clean, comfortable

Posted Sep 6, 2016
My only bad thing I have to say is the elevator made loud noises, and kind of jumped. It scared me a few times. Maybe it needed to be worked on. Overall, highly recommended to everyone, and I will return there.

Silver City NM Road trip!

Stay was very good, with the exception of the barking dog on night one!

Glad you had an enjoyable stay. We are sorry about the barking dog. We had many guests traveling with their pets over the holiday weekend. On your future stays, always feel free to call the front desk staff who is here 24 hours a day and they can go to the pets room and ask the owners to quiet the dog down or take it outside. -Brent

Everything would have been fine if not for the price. This WAS NOT worth the price I was charged. I feel well and truly ripped off by Holiday Inn Express. I will not be staying at their properties again. There is no whirlpool tub and there was a hair in my ice bucket, not acceptable in a hotel at this price. Of course errant hairs are never acceptable.
