was a business trip ... great to have the tube station next as well as Excel, where I worked for 3 days ... hotel room was clean, quiet, with workstation and comfortable bed and nice TV, shower and the breakfast was clean and OK ( was missing a bigger variety of fresh fruits) ... overall, would stay here again in a heartbeat if the price is right.

Great for 02 events

Stayed here for 2 nights. Nice room, good size. Slow service from the little snack shop and bagel was a little stale. Wardrobe not full length, so dress crumpled....not ideal! Also no bin near sink.

Great hotel.

Quiet, clean, easy access to DLR. Great facilities, wanted to extend stay, but commitments didn't allow. Would definitely stay again.

Base for London Triathlon

Posted Jul 29, 2017
Overall comfortable stay- very accommodating with all our extra triathlon related gear, spacious room, convenient carpark behind hotel. They even swooped our room for us so we could have a view of the triathlon course. Only gripe related to restaurant/bar policy- being turned away from hotel restaurant on Saturday night to be told the restaurant was fully booked despite multiple empty tables and being directed to an alternative hotel (who incidentally initially told us they were only serving their own guests but did accommodate us). We discovered the night after that the hotel bar area served food. Also would question a bar area that tolerates a large group in plain sight tucking into a full McDonalds takeaway without a single drink purchase from the bar whilst there are paying guests paying a premium beside them.. disappointing.

Excellent Hotel

Posted Jul 18, 2017
Pros: Everything was perfect.
Location: Next to the Excell exhibition center and to the train station.
The hotel is very modern and gives you a friendly feeling. The room was quite big, very clean and very comfortable. There is a gym, pool and sauna bath. 2 minutes walking to the DLR station with trains running every 3 minutes.

Lovely hotel very close to the DLR and excel

Posted Jul 9, 2017
We stayed because it was available but in future would stay again. The bar was nice and the breakfast was lovely and not over priced at£15 pp. the urban room had a good sized bed and there were nespresso coffees but the shower was a bit slow and there was only a tiny body lotion which wasn't replaced for the second day. That said I would stay again if I was visiting an exhibition at excel as it is very close and also easy to get into central London using the DLR which is also very close. All the staff we spoke to were very pleasant and we had no complaints of them.

Modern, good value hotel next to ExCeL

Posted Jun 27, 2017
Pros: Modern, good value most of the time, decent rooms by London standards, great WiFi
Cons: More lunch/ dinner options. Better TV channel packages.
Location: As convenient as you can get for ExCeL. Right next to Prince Regent DLR. But a long way from rest of London.
Aloft ExCeL is literally on the doorstep of the ExCeL centre, and also next to Prince Regent DLR station. Modern hotel with comfortable and fairly spacious rooms (by London standards!). Generally a good value hotel although obviously less so when there's a big event on at ExCeL. Great WiFi, good value breakfast, a decent gym all make this a good business hotel. The only real issue is that there's not much other than ExCeL on the doorstep to eat, drink or look at - so you've either got a fairly long walk, or some time on the DLR / Emirates cable car, to get to anywhere interesting.
