Great hotel neat the Ventura Frwy, Thousand Oaks

Everything gets "10" at this Best Western Plus. Cleanliness is a given, rooms are great and staff is uniformly polite, knowledgable and well-informed.

Pros: Location was very good, staff was friendly.
Location: Restaurants very close. Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza was very close as well.
Hotel staff ready and waiting for us. Quickly checked us in. Hotel is clean, secure and well kept. Very good experience.

We believe and treat all of our guests as friends and family visiting our home, which makes service natural and hospitable. Of course, our location at the center of Thousand Oaks makes us a great location to all of the stores, restaurants, theater, parks, Reagan Library, and other attractions in Thousand Oaks and the Conejo Valley.

We believe the arts are a critical component of the community and are proud supporters of the resident companies and performances at the Civic Arts Plaza, including, most recently, Dirty Dancing.

Disappointed - Hotel for many truckers use

Posted Jan 3, 2017
Pros: Free Parking, Breakfast bag, near by shopping, room size was good, free internet.
Cons: Service, Sofa Bed, etc
A few things to note: many Truckers use this hotel because of its proximity to Highway, it took too long to travel to LA on daily basis to attend various tourist attractions (lost 2 to 3 hours every day), price is a little steep for Canadians who pay in CAD Dollar, sofa bed was really bad. We rented a suite but did not have enough blankets & we requested blankets Hotel Staff were un-sure if they had enough at hand.

Thank you for your feedback. Truckers, primarily McLane Food Service, have used us because of our proximity to the freeway and large parking lot, but we have enough recently instituted a no truck parking policy, which notified McLane in December. One of the great things about Thousand oaks and the Conejo Valley is our proximity to destinations and price. We are right in the middle of LA and Santa Barbara. That means you are less than an hour to anything from Downtown LA west to Santa Barbara (just avoid rush hour), and at a price 25-50% less than LA hotels or beach hotels. In addition, we are the safest city in California with the most open space, parks, hiking trails, etc. of any city in America. Unfortunately, the CAD is low now, but hopefully, that means more Americans will be travelling to Canada this year. My family will be visiting Vancouver in May for this reason.

Good location and freeway accessible.

Cons: Fire the restaurant and start over
Friendly front staff but cleaning crew does not speak English. The breakfast experience at Camboni's restaurant was horrible. Why the hotel uses them for their breakfast service, I do not know. Food was cold. Waitress was incompetent, no manager on duty and the $7.00/person hotel chit was not accepted. A total rip off

Having access to the facilities at golds gym was a big plus for us. The room was nice, but the heater is fairly loud & the breakfast menu in the restaurant is limited. The staff was friendly & efficient.

Middle of the road option in good location.

Posted Nov 14, 2016
Pros: Location to my destination was the best part. The hotel was in a safe area. Easy access to 101. You can see and hear the freeway from the hotel.
Cons: Tv had technical issues and could not be fixed. Hotel staff were mostly friendly but with a few less than ideal interactions. Facilities and grounds are a bit dated. Breakfast is a voucher for restaurant next door but not enough for any of the meals.

I apologize for the television issues. There have been some technical issues withe DISH Networks, which has been addressed with new equipment. Breakfast by the independent restaurant on-site is freshly made each day with high quality, locally-sourced items and produce. Although it may not be free, we hope you found the quality to be better than the lower quality, prepackaged complimentary breakfast at most limited service hotels.
