Love the Grand Vista !!

I'm a caregiver and needed to unwind and that's exactly what I did! Went for a swim and relaxed in the sun for awhile, it was wonderful.

Good price and nice hotel. It worked for what we wanted a couple of nights stay just for a place to sleep. Room was comfortable. Really the only negative was that guests would leave trash out side in the hall and it would be there for what seemed a long time.

Try the other hotel

Posted Aug 19, 2015
Wish we would have tried the Best Western instead. Don't let the Grand Vista give you room #261 as the air conditioner does not work. It was a sauna in there. Husband called front desk and was told an engineer would come and look at the air conditioner. We didn't want to wait for an engineer, it was 9:30PM. We wanted to settle into a nice cool room, not a sauna room. Husband requested new room again. Finally we went down to front desk and front desk guy now decided to give us a new room and not continue insisting on sending engineer.

Fint hotel, trygt område,lav pris, free parkering.

Was once a very nice hotel on a hill .

Posted Aug 6, 2015
Pros: The look of what it must have been like in the earlier days.
Cons: Cleanliness, unresponsive staff - they said they would send up our wash cloths and when my husband called down again, they said the staff had gone.
Location: Location was fine - the Ronald Reagan Museum was within 5 miles.
Upon arrival, the lobby had a musty odor. Had only 1 washcloth to accompany full sets of towels-asked 2 people for more washcloths, promised they'd be right up and we never received them. Top of chest between beds had sticky on top - top of tv chest of drawers had a sticky patch. The restaurant was once very nice - it still had table cloths and a decent ambiance; however, we paid $16 for a salad that was made with iceberg lettuce and sliders that were just ok - one man running the whole thing. With a fairly decent amount of cars in the parking lot, at 6:00 p.m. there were only 2 other people in the restaurant/bar area and they only had a beer. After returning home they billed us twice, plus an extra bill for $80. Our total bill with dinner was $189!

Nice and comfortable..

Location: President Regan library nearby.. Well worth the time. Golf courses.
I liked that it was across the street from the Simi Valley Town Center. There was a Macy store and some wonderful restaurants there. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful. Rooms were comfortable.

feeling patriotic

Pros: as above
Cons: the toilet bowl needs upgrading.
Location: as above.
The area is so peaceful. It was very accessible to restaurants, gasoline stations and department stores (thanks to technology=) ). Accessible to the highway. It was not that far from the Reagan Presidential Library . which was the purpose of this trip. It was also not that far from the beaches of Malibu ( gorgeous weather, beautiful beaches, I would love to come back). The hotel may need upgrading but overall it was a comfortable stay for my family.
