Perfect inn for a quiet retreat

And we enjoyed the Joe's pizza restaurant that we could walk to across the street. Breakfast was tasty at the inn. Perfect respite.

Large, picturesq inn with a very good restaurant

Pros: Atmosphere, setting in lovely Simsbury
The simsbury 1820 House is only 20 miles or so from the airport, which makes it a charming and comfortable alternative to the chain hotels right by the airport. Lovely dinner, nice room - altogether a pleasant choice!

Great hotel in a quaint town

Posted Aug 15, 2017
We stayed one night as we were traveling around New England this summer. My family LOVED the room with 2 king beds! I would completely stay here again if we are in the area. Joe Pizza across the street was excellent as well as the ice cream shop in an old house down the street.

Excellent place to stay

Posted Aug 5, 2017
As a teenager, I lived only a few miles away from what is now the Simsbury 1820 House. I was thrilled to find that this historic location had become an amazing inn, run by an even more amazing innkeeper, Pam. She greeted us upon arrival, made sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Her warm personality, combined with a friendly staff, lovely accommodations and a beautiful location, makes this a wonderfully awesome place to stay.

Just what we were looking for and very laid back

Posted Jul 21, 2017
Pros: Setting and character
Cons: A/C was a little loud, but cooled fine
Location: We used it as a central location to visit many areas of the State
Pam, our hostess was super. Made us so welcome. Breakfast was superior to most and coffee was another plus. We plan on trying to come back when it snows.
