We arrived at the hotel in the pouring rain at 6.30am, after a long flight from Rome. We we were not meant to check in to the hotel until that afternoon. However, the Hotel Staff were so obliging and provided us with an early check in of 9.30am, plus an upgrade of our room status. When 9.30am came around, one of the friendly hotel staff member's escorted us to our room, and explained how all the different gadgets in the room worked. We had been upgraded to a beautiful suite overlooking the pool area. The hotel overall is absolutely beautiful, is extremely clean, and has been tastefully restored. The hotel is set in a tranquil parkland area, which also provides some very interesting war time history. We could not fault this hotel, the staff, nor the food. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel, and both experiences were excellent. The hotel is a bit of a walk to the closest shops and restaurants, with some downhill and uphill walking involved, but a stay at this hotel is well worth it. There is a Happy Hour at the bar of 1 to 1 drinks, from 3pm to 8pm daily.
