This was an absolutely fantastic, beautifully quiet place to stay, about 1 mile from the centre of Bruges,on the canal, with a balcony overlooking this. The host, Alain, couldn't do enought for us-from pots of (proper English!) tea made for our arrival, the offer to book a table at any restaurant in the city to an enormous choice at the breakfast buffet. We had travelled 620 miles from Austria to reach Bruges, and it was most certainly a wonderful place to be refreshed ready for the final 350 miles back home the following day.
We had a few problems finding the place,as the Satnav does not recognise the house number, basically because access is from, effectively, a cycle path right next to the canal. I would recommend you contact Alain for instructions, or look at the "junction by junction" instructions (images) on the B&B's website, thus saving 40 minutes of driving round.
We will most certainly be going back to stay there regularly, hopefully for more than just an overnight stop, and are looking forward to seeing Alain again.
