Great stay everything was wonderful. The restaurant had good food the one thing that was not too good the AC in the bedrooms are not cool enough it was hot every night.

My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay at The Belaire!! The staff is amazing and very welcoming from Justin who checked us in to Tracylee and Ester whom greeted us every morning!! The food is phenomenal … Thank you soo much Ms. Myrtle for our amazing breakfast dishes (oatmeal hands down is my favorite) also to Angelo and Delmar for all of your hospitality!!! The Gingerbread is it!! The scenario is breathtaking, doesn’t matter if you are on a family trip or a romantic get away … The Belaire is definitely the place you want to go!! The staff made us feel as though we were family… can’t wait to see you ALL again!! If you need transportation ANYWHERE on the island call Jorge!! Thanks again Ms. Glenda for all of your love and soul!!

Belair has two bedroom condos that all have ocean views and is on a terrific beach. The rooms are outdated but clean. The restaurant is just OK but we ended up going next door to Divi to eat or drove to other places. This is a great place to stay if you want a great beach, nice staff, safety and ocean view rooms but don't care about extra luxury. Also snorkeling out to the underwater sculpture garden from the beach was a plus!

I've stayed here multiple times and although it is an older hotel, I enjoy the restaurant, beach and the mini mart. It is nice that you can order food and drink from the mini mart before you go and they will stock your room before you arrive. Also, it is conveniently located next to another hotel with restaurants, and another market store as well as some clothing stores. The HUGE disappointment was the WiFi and internet. It buffers most of the time and although smart TV's were purchased, the streaming speed isn't fast enough to use services such as Netflix. You can't stream them on your phone for the same reason. I have never been anywhere where is was that bad It was incredibly frustrating.

The Ocean front view with the balcony on the second floor was my favorite part. The staff, security and services are top notch. The convenient location to walk the beach and Bay Area were key as well. I highly recommend the resort.

we loved the room. spacious, clean and so close to the ocean! lobster night at gingerbread cafe was amazing. complimentary wine and cheese night on monday was fun. reserved beach chairs and umbrella for your entire stay was great feature. able to walk next door to Divi resort for fun beach bar and nicer restaurant for dinner. only suggestion I can make is to have beach/pool bartenders to order drinks and food. mini mart very well stocked and not overpriced. we will be back!

The property is wonderful. Great views from every room's balcony. Loved that we had designated beach chairs with umbrellas and noodles. The room decor could use a refresh and the water pressure could be better - but it was super clean and the staff are fantastic. Would definitely stay again.

This my 2nd visit to the property and it will be my next when visiting St Maarten. The staff is wonderful, I feel safe, the Gingerbread Cafe is excellent, everything about the resort is exceptional.

The private beach and overall cleanliness and condition of the unit and facilities. Staff are friendly and helpful. The balcony and view is gorgeous. The ocean is clear and swimable.

My first trip to the island was made so personal. My wife and I celebrated our 3 year delayed honeymoon (COVID) by going to the Bel Air. We wanted a quiet place to enjoy the island and this place provided that. Most of our trip we felt like we had a private beach and even restaurants were not crowded. The staff was helpful and so friendly. After a day of adventures I looked forward to sharing my experiences with them. They would always add and suggest new things to further our short time there. Miss Patsy and Malcolm became like family to us. I hope to come back with our boys one day to share more memories with our family at home and our family in SXM. I can’t say enough about how good my stay was.

Our piece of PARADISE
My boyfriend and I had a GREAT time. The room was on the ground floor as we had hoped and we walked right out onto the beach from our patio. The view was gorgeous and all of the staff were pleasant and welcoming. We shopped at the hotel convenience store which had reasonable prices and a good selection for a small shop. We bought breakfast items and snacks for the full sized kitchen and had most of our dinners at the onsite restaurant which was nice and the food tasty. The beach was beautiful and the weather amazing !! Cant wait to go back !!

First trip to the island and it was absolutely amazing. We stayed an entire week and the Belair Beach Hotel was great. The staff was accommodating in every way possible. The private beach was beautiful and peaceful. The water was beautiful. We will be back for sure.

I liked the size of the room. Did not like the dated furniture. AC did not work and was very noisy. Charged more at the gingerbread cafe after I had signed the receipt. Found this out at checkout after waiting for the front desk attendant (not 24hours). Transportation that hotel arranged was late. Had to check out towels for the beach. Did not offer any beach equipment (floats, paddle boards, etc). Every item in room was itemized and priced stating we would be charged if anything was missing. Went to take shower and only had cold water. After complaining seems like all they had to do was turn it on to are room. Very disappointing not worth the money. Stay at the hotel next door seemed much nicer.

Great view of Caribbean. The room was straight out of the 70’s. I felt like I stepped back in time. It should not be considered a suite. Kathryn at the front desk did her best, but the antique room and amenities didn’t cut it for me. This should be a $100/ night room not $350. All of the people that work there were fantastic.

Great mini-mart. Front desk very helpful and pleasant. Views, views, views. Calm, warm ocean. Unfortunately, we were GIVEN masks when we first arrived (which is more than fine and a great idea) but then told that they were $10 each. We didn't want to be rude so we paid. I later had a discussion with that individual about the approach and she recognized that it wasn't the best. That being said, a truly welcoming employee. The Monday bar-B-Q not particularly good compared to the one there when I went in 2012. The food can't be compared. The hotel is a great, no frills, super clean place to stay with comfortable, nice sized suites. The hotel next door also had a nice mini-mart and multiple restaurants and just a couple of minutes walk away. Having both was perfect. Belair is dated but kept up very well. I'd go again in a heartbeat.

Cost $7500 Canadian for two weeks.
At that price we expect five star standards. But instead we found a room that was about forty years out of date. It is on a nice beach. The staff were great. It has a Caribbean rustic restaurant with lower standards of service than we get at a Canadian Best Western. Could still enjoy the stay but there was no oven in the suite. Frying pan was dented and not non-stick. The owners seem reluctant to offer basic quality but are pushing prices to the level where we certainly will not go there again. exhorbitantly overpriced. Divi next door is pricy but better value.

Great stay
The room was very comfortable and the hotel staff was very attentive. Prices at the mini mart were reasonable and the resturant Gingerbread and Rufus the manager was excellent. Security was excellent as was the beach. The beach maintained every day by Vincent with attention to seating, umbrellas and towels. It may not be the most modern hotel on the beach but just as comfortable as any others. We would stay there again. WiFi should be included for as much as you need it..

Great place to spent time.
The hotel is older, but if you like to relax it's the place to be. They have some activities planned if you want to partake or you can go on your own. The activities director has a list of the recommended places to fulfill your wishes. There are boat trips, plane trips, shopping trips and trips to other islands. We enjoyed a trip to Pinel Island for the day, shopping in Phillipsburg, renting a car makes getting around easy (but the drivers and parking are crazy). The French side of island is also to be enjoyed (just have to remember that some of the shops there close at 2:00 and open again about 4:00). The food is great allover the island.

We were on the first floor and stepped out onto the ocean. There was a stunning sunset overlooking the ocean. We were able to see incoming and departing cruise ships both in the morning and at night. On a clear day, you can see St. Kitts and other islands in the distance. There is a grocery, bar, restaurant, car and cellphone rentals on grounds. The beach floor is the smoothest and the best I've ever been to. There are plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas. The hotel location is near all, as the entire island is about a one hour drive total. There is a dive shop nearby and water sports. The condo itself is very roomy, with enough dresser space. The kitchenette is fabulous. The only negative, which the pluses far out-weighed this minus, was the strong mildewy /bleach smell of the room upon arrival. However, that lessened over the first night and we didn't spend much time in the room anyway. Great place to stay with kids too.

Hotel that has seen better days
At the peak of the tourist season, we needed a hotel in a hurry. The Bel Air was available, but not really in a convinient location. Our check in was slow, the on-site cafe was indifferent, and the place seemed a little run down. More positively, our room was clean and the bedding was fresh and crisp. Next time we need a hotel in St. Maartin, we'll look elsewhere and book earlier..

Extra night to my RCI exchange
The night we arrived started out bad: I had called ahead 2 weeks in advance to explain that I would have an RCI exchange following my "Hotels.com" night. After much confusion on the phone the lady said OK I will put you in the same room for the1 night and the week. She said do you have any requests, I said easy access to the beach, because I have had a knee replacement. She said I will put you on the first floor, walk out your patio door and straight to the beach. Well when we arrived they had us on the 4th floor and said that I never called to combine the rooms or request the 1st floor. After several trips to the front desk, they allowed us to move to a room on the 1st floor , but the ocean view is blocked by the towel hut on the beach. The beach runs the full length of the hotel. So the beach and the view in general are very nice. The hotel very old and out dated. I must say it is extremely clean! We were disappointed because the timeshares we have stayed at in the past looked a lot newer and up to date. The hotel has 2 elevators but only 1 is working most of the time. There is a small pool but no hot tub to relax sore muscles. If I visit again I will try to find a more up to date room.

hotel staff very friendly. Unless you have a car you have to take a taxi to go to any other restaurant but the small one on the property which is o.k. but nothing special. Rooms are very large .and all face the ocean. Nice beach. We stayed here the day before our cruise and it just a short cab ride down to the cruise terminal. We would stay here again

We picked this hotel to stay for one night at the end of a weeks cruise and wish we could have stayed longer! We reserved a 2 bedroom as friends who accompanied us on the cruise, also stayed for the one night. The condo really suited our needs and was very comfortable. Unfortunately we could not take advantage of the full kitchen to due lack of time, but the restaurant was clean and the food was great! All the balconies overlook the beautiful beach. The front desk was VERY friendly and helpful as we arrived at 10:00 a.m. and even though check in was 3:00 p.m., our room was ready in 30 minutes! Our friends had a later flight and we able to get a late check out at 12:00 noon - all at no extra charge! Hotel is next door to the Divi and wave runners are available for rent. We walked to Front Street, Philipsburg but would not recommend for elder guests. We got a taxi back! We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again!
