Not a 4-star hotelPosted Feb 5, 2016
Pros: Food was good. Did not have a bad meal.
Cons: Everything could be improved.
Sonesta Great Bay is in a great location. Nice beach, within walking distance of shops in Phillipsburg. Hotel is VERY dated. Very musty smelling rooms, and in desperate need of updating. Hotel was clean, bed was comfortable, but if you are looking for an up-scale resort, this is not it.

Really Nice, Great Location!Posted Feb 5, 2016
Hotel isn't a 5 Star but it was a solid 4. Food very good, staff extremely accommodating and the view is top notch. Hotel could use a little TLC but very clean and for the price, I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the Great Bay Area. You won't be dissapointed!

The resort has a beautiful beach on the Great Bay.Posted Feb 4, 2016
Cons: The room floors could be cleaner.
Location: Phillipsburg is a short walk away and fun to visit.Last, year I walked to Old Fort Amsterdam and it was worth the time.Marigot should be visited.
Our unit had a large deck over looking the ocean. The resort staff was very friendly and helpful The food was excellent, especially the Pescotoria Restaurant. The resort is a short walk to Phillipsburg and we made a couple trips to town ,shopping and visiting local businesses. The weather is always wonderful and the vacation was fabulous in a large part due to the resort accommodations. We plan on returning to this resort next year.

Nice hotel, on the beachPosted Jan 14, 2016
Pros: Size. Its compact & everything close by. Good hot-tub with hot water.
Cons: Food is the same everyday; needs more variation
Location: Near downtown, walking distance. 15 min to Maho by cab and 20 min to Orient on French side
One of a few all-inclusive hotels. On the beach & you don't have to walk a mile to get to the beach. Hotel is small and compact. Restaurants close together and on the beach. Downtown is a short walk. Esay bus or cab access to Maho beach area.

Nice hotel close to everythingPosted Jan 3, 2016
Pros: We enjoyed the food, the staff was very nice and helpful, no kids and never got too rowdy.
Cons: The beds were a bit uncomfortable.
Location: The hotel is walking distance to Phillipsburg, the capital of the Dutch side. Close to little bay which is good for snorkeling.
The hotel is nice, has a nice strip of beach and all you can eat and drink. Plenty of chair space on the beach and umbrellas were pretty easy to come by as well. They even provide pool noodles to just float around the beach.

Sonesta Great Bay Beach resort is great!Posted Jan 1, 2016
Pros: Service, food, location, adult only, water view room, and amenities.
Cons: Hotel needs some TLC to the infrastructure and building updates.
Location: Philipsburg downtown Boardwalk and great bay beach are not to be missed. Shopping and island tours are easily accessible.
Great experience at Sonesta Great Bay. All inclusive for adults only in a fabulous location are the strengths of this resort. Add the quality of the food and staff's attentiveness makes this resort four stars.

Excellent location failed in hospitalityPosted Dec 31, 2015
Wait staff did not care about guests. Poor service and they constantly wanted tips. Management did not seem to be around much.
