Peaceful hotel, but a distance from local amenitie

The hotel was located along a quiet residential road. Taxis are expensive and we ended up paying 350 euros (for two taxis) in the first couple of days getting around. We then hired a 7 seater for 170 euros for four days which certainly made our experience more enjoyable. The kids loved the swimming pool and the breakfast was ample, varied and very tasty. Sintra is a wonderful town full of history.

Small intimate hotel

Small and clean hotel inside a safe gated community with UBER never too far away and easy access into Sintra. Hotel was at capacity during our stay but always managed to get seated for breakfast and by the pool. Breakfast could be improved. Overall cosy hotel, large room and clean.

Nice hotel, close to Sintra.

A nice hotel in Lisbon and good value for money. Close to Sintra and other surrounding areas. Room service was quick. Unfortunately there is no or only one iron in the whole hotel, which I requested to have a number of times as I had wedding clothes to iron, but never received. Dissappointing as other Pestana's have been better.

Nice hotel

Pros: Good facilities, large room with an excellent bathroom, very polite helpful staff, lovely breakfast
Location: We were there to attend a wedding at a neighbouring hotel so was unable to visit local places.
We booked this hotel as it was close to a wedding venue we were attending. The hotel was very nice, clean with good facilities and helpful staff. Our room was excellent and very spacious, comfortable and clean. We had breakfast included which had a good selection of hot and cold food. on the day of departure we enjoyed relaxing around the pool before our taxi arrived and was able to freshen up prior to leaving.

Decent but remote from local amenities

Good location (by uber only) for Sintra, west coast beaches and Lisbon less than half an hour away. But once at the hotel there are no local amenities to walk to eg other restaurants etc. Decor in communal areas is quite dated. Breakfast was average. Bedrooms all have a balcony, which was nice. however we (and another family) had our 2 rooms split and quite far apart, which was inconvenient, and the hotel could not change it. Friendly cleaners. Nice indoor pool and jacuzzi.

avoid if you can

front desk staff were terrible and unhelpful. they get 2 stars for that rather than 1 only because 1 guy at breakfast was really nice and helpful. everyone else including the manager had no concept of customer service. the property is very dirty and the towels and sheets have really been over used. food at breakfast was mediocre but not terrible. I avoided any other food after reading the appalling reviews on that point. avoid it. there are much better options in Sintra

Comfortable

Comfortable stay at the hotel which is quite close to Sintra provided you drive , else there isn't any public transport to Sintra.

Nice and pleasant place!

Good location, good service, well looked after place and hospitable staff. The bar was overpriced and It would have been great if the hotel would have had a little play corner for the children to play but the swimming pool was great!

Pleasant stay.

This hotel is very nice and the rooms are big and with beautiful views. We booked 3 rooms, and everyone was very happy with service and all the amenities. And thank you for the room upgrade. Disadvantages: - We arrived late and we didn't have any place to park (we left the car on the street, that wasn't a big issue). The breakfast is good and sufficient. We need to wait for a while for a table - And in my opinion they should enlarge the place where the breakfast is to avoid the queues to get the food. Anyway, nice place to stay!

DISAPOINTING

Just looking promisssed, nice but disappointing. The check in took more than 45 minutes,we got a room with twin beds and we have been tols that thats waht hotels.com sent them, I asked to get aroon with double bed and i have been tols they have no room and only after I show them the reservation, they suddenly find a room with double bed. The towels in the room were very old and dirty. when we wanted to order dinner from room service, we found that no menu in the room and when we asked to get the menu, they told us they can not give us the menu and they sent someone with the menu and he asked to get the order when we standing near the door. They promissed to deliver the order within 20-30min but it was arrived after one hour, haif cooked and cold, and when I called to coplaint we did not get any reply or apology. From the other side, we had the bar menu in the room , but the bar was EMPTY NICE HOTEL- LAUSY SREVICE
