We like the location of the hotel,the staff was nice but not great, parking situation is not great. They don’t tell you if you get late you are to be locked out of the parking,one night we were able to get in with a card they gave us, next night they didn’t have the card and we had to park somewhere else that at the end was cheaper. They didn’t apologized or cared about our inconvenience.

Great Stay in Sion!
We loved our stay and the hotel. Very friendly staff. The hotel room was as advertised. The view of the Basilica de Valera was magnificent. It’s an easy walk to all the sights in Sion. Parking was easy.

Very nice hotel in Sion
The hotel is very nice. Good location (10 min from the train station by walk). It’s easy to communicate with the reception in English. The room is super clean and enough room for a couple. A surprise for us is that we have a castle view from the room window. The restaurant downstairs is recommended (good food with reasonable price).

I stayed at Hotel du Rhone for 2 nights in mid July 2019. The reason for my trip was to watch Everton play Monaco in a pre-season friendly. The hotel is well situated in the beautiful town of Sion. The staff were friendly with Simon at reception going out of his way to be helpful. I ate breakfast twice at the hotel. The breakfast was buffet style and adequate. The room was basic and my one problem with the hotel was lack of aircon in my room. The weather during my stay was warm and the lack of aircon made the room uncomfortable. As long as the weather is not warm Hotel du Rhone offers value for money.

Excellent hotel and location!
Hôtel du Rhône was in an excellent location. Very clean and comfortable beds. The staff at the hotel were very helpful, informative and friendly. The breakfast that was included with that room rate, was wonderful. So much variety in foods and the restaurant staff provided excellent service. I would absolutely stay there again!

Wonderful welcome!
Location, location, location! The hotel is close to everything...restaurants, cafés and shopping. You will also find a supermarket a few steps away. The reception is probably one of the best we experienced...but, this hotel brings you back to the 50’s...tiny bathroom, no air conditioning (they do give you a small fan) and you need to use 2 separate elevators to get to the rooms. They do however provide you with excellent WiFi access.

Very nice hotel & perfect location in city center
The location could not be better with a City Coop next door (for Americans, similar to Super Target but far more upscale). Easy 7 minute walk from train station. Front desk staff speaks English and the room was large and comfortable for 3 with a mini fridge and Espresso maker. Corner room with gorgeous views (301). Did not eat at the onsite restaurant with several dietary allergies among us and menu was not for us with the food restrictions, although the restaurant looked charming and was busy frequently. Grabbed meat, cheese and wine for a couple meals from Coop. Overall, the stay was great and highly recommend!

The hotel is very well located in Sion, however the bedding is fit for winter (heavy & warm) but there is no air-conditioning and in September the room was exceedingly warm and made for an uncomfortable nights sleep.

Great Location
The location of this hotel was perfect for us. It was close to EVERYTHING Sion had to offer. It was clean and comfortable and we had a terrific view of the castle from our window.

Clean, modern, close to the train station, main castle attraction, and the old part of the city. Great location. Everything within walking distance. Rooms were clean and more modern than traditional Swiss rooms. Breakfast was excellent.

Not the very most modern hotel, but I slept very well and the breakfast was decent. Even if the room was not modern it was clean. Big plus for a coffee-machine and a real desk. The Wifi was really fast, I got surprised as it usually is slow at Hotels - but this was really a positive experience.

Friendly staff, Coop parking directly under hotel at 10CHF per day which is good, restaurant is good and breakfast is adequate. Only complaint is that the room was very warm and even with the window opened the room has difficulty to cool down. It is summer and air condition would be good. Feather pillows were too soft and bed too hard. Otherwise room is big, with bar fridge and coffee & tea making facilities. Train station only 10 minutes walk away. Restaurants and shops at hand.

Perfectly located
The location is great. Only 5 minutes of walking distance to wherever you want to go. We stayed in the family room, which is like a spacious apartment. The room was very clean. The breakfast was also great. Everything fresh!

A little dated but excellent service!
I visit Sion several times a year on business and have always stayed at this hotel. While the building is a little dated the rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is excellent and have always treated me exceptionally well. I will continue to stay here in future visits.

Very Close to Central Sion
We stayed 4 nights here while we explored the surrounding area. Location is great, shops are just downstairs. Room was clean and quiet, staff were very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay.

Well situated, but needs a little repair
While an excellently situated hotel minutes away from some rather tasty restaurants (and a conditorie) the hotel is in the middle of its life. While everything was clean and the bathrooms redone recently, the bedrooms could use some remodelling (and a uniform colour). The fact that this hotel was actually on top of the Rhone (sub-terranean at this point) was quite amusing. It has a beautiful view of the Sion castle in the morning.
