Lovely home with great views
Karen makes you feel welcome even before you arrive with her informative communications. She gave us lots of information once there on places to visit, beaches and recommendations for some lovely eateries. The villa itself is lovely and comfortable. Karen has made sure there’s everything you need to make your stay that little bit more welcoming including items such as cool bag, basic condiments, selection of tea & coffees, kitchen roll etc which you don’t always get - so basically all we needed to do was unpack and hit the great pool, which was a lovely size and albeit a little cold (well it was mid September) was also very refreshing!!! Both terraces have lovely views and a great place to have a relaxing drink and watch the sunset. It’s an easy walk into Glossa (about 15mins) which is a nice little town with a few individual shops, a couple of lovely bakeries, supermarket and a butcher as well as various eateries with yummy food! The port in Loutraki, just a few minutes by car also has some nice restaurants on the front, where you can watch the ferries and boats come in and out.
The church of Agios Ioannis Kastri (the chapel in Mamma Mia) is well worth the visit and as Karen suggested to go early is worth it to go up before the ‘tourist coaches’ all arrive. The views at the top are well worth it. Also the drive up Mount Delfi offers views of the beautiful island. Do take the time to explore all the different beaches - a whole range to suit different tastes, some with easy access and facilities, others secluded and a bit of an adventure (but still quite easy) to get to - again Karen is very knowledgeable on the the best ones.
We had a very relaxing 10 day holiday and that’s very much down to Karen, her wonderful villa & pool and the lovely island of Skopelos. Definitely on our list of places to return!!
