Staff. As I walked in the man behind the counter looked up at me and then just turned away, didn't even say welcome or hello. I said then hello and he responded with "you can't check in until 3pm" and then went back to watching TV. Positive Customer Service was clearly not a concern for him. However, the girl who checked me in later that day was very nice.
Room. Pubic hairs all over the bathroom floor. The shower knob was broken but was workable but the water never reached a hot temp, just warm. The bed seemed clean but was very hard and lumpy. The room had a funky smell to it, like old trash, bad paint and cheap cleaners.
There seemed to be many people, even groups, just hanging out all over the place. In the lobby and out back and even out front. Not a problem for me but groups of gangsters and seedy, creepy people giving you dirty looks as you enter and exit the building probably isn't help build repeat business. It felt more like an apartment building in the ghetto.
