Pretends it's a five star

Posted Aug 8, 2017
Pros- Lovely outdoor setting, minus the power plant, supportive staff, location in Cascade mts., fabulous food in both restaurants except for the price, music in Attic Lounge on the weekends. Each room has a deck; the first floor has a relaxing patio with lovely landscaping. Whirlpool tub in bathroom. Cons- Room decor needs an update, there were not enough drawer spaces in the room, there is tiny closet. While the sliding window between bathroom & bedroom creates an interesting lighting effect at night when the bathroom light is on, just make sure you don't use the shower if anyone is sleeping in the bedroom as the shower is noisy. Mandatory valet parking neccitates a tip each time you used your car.

True Northwest experience

Posted Jul 28, 2017
Pros: Location, rooms, general decor, food, and staff were all perfect.
Cons: Such a minor thing, but an additional faucet and sink in the counter above the refrigerator cabinet might be nice.
Location: Sightseeing, shopping, fishing, hiking, and more...
I cannot think of a better place to build memories of the Pacific Northwest than Salish Lodge. It is everything you would hope for and expect from a truly world-class facility Although our stay was brief, we found ourselves both relaxed and intrigued at the end of our trip. The accommodations were perfect, the location was outstanding, and the food was excellent (I HIGHLY recommend trying the biscuits - best ever anywhere). We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Excellent Customer Service

Posted Jul 27, 2017
Pros: I loved the ability of the staff to accommodate. They changed checkout time to coincide with a spa treatment for my convenience.
Cons: It would be nice to have a chair on the balcony of our room.
Location: It is a short walk to the falls overlook, there is a town a short drive away, and there is a wonderful gift shop off the lobby.
From arrival to leaving, there is only one thing I can take issue with. We were two women traveling together. Best friends since forever. When being seated for dinner we were placed far away from everyone else when there were plenty of other available tables. I mentioned that to the hostess and she said they were all taken. But during our meal they all remained empty. But the food! How can everything on your plate be so delicious? All other aspects of our stay we just about perfect.

Nice hotel next to beautiful Waterfalls

Posted Jul 26, 2017
The hotel was very nice, the rooms were large and had comfy beds. It is very quite and clean. The food at their restaurant was great! Only downside - can not go in the big spa pools that you see in the pictures unless you pay for the spa services.

Recharge your batteries

Posted Jul 15, 2017
Pros: Mother nature at your door step. The spa treatments, eating in the Attic Restaurant overlooking the waterfalls and walks in the beautiful woods.
We had a fabulous time staying at the resort. The waterfalls and surrounding woods were beautiful. What a way to recharge your batteries and take in the beauty of nature.

Unfortunately for us we were disappointed.

Posted Jul 10, 2017
Pros: The restaurants
Cons: Room ready earlier than 4
For the cost, our room was never ready before 4 And we repeatedly asked for a leaky shower head to be fixed.

Passed a nice time.

Posted Jul 9, 2017
Pros: Very comfortable and well-located.
Location: There are the falls, of course, and beautiful surrounding scenery.
We had a room with a river view. There was a small balcony, and we enjoyed evenings out on it. Rooms were quiet. My only (minor!) complaint is that it took a long time to cool the room. Most times, and for most people, this would not be a problem. All staff we interacted with were friendly and professional.

Our stay at the Salish Lodge & Spa

Posted Jun 23, 2017
Pros: The fireplace in the room.
Cons: The required $100.00 fee, this should be a choice, update the rooms and bathrooms.
Location: Downtown Seattle was a nice walk and discovery.
Upon check-in, we inquired if the restaurants were open to dine in (it was around 8ish). Hotel clerk advised the restaurant on the 4th floor was open until 11 and was casual dress. She did not share the other restaurant located on the 3rd floor was open. After dinner, as we strolled through the lodge, we learned the other restaurant was open for dining but we weren't offered the option, almost as though we were treated less valued. The ceiling and wall above the tub showed evidence of water damage, left us to worry about possible mold exposure. Older hotel/lodge. We were also charged an $100.00 fee/credit to our room for possible incidentals and were told we would get any credit back if we didn't use it. Expedia did not mention this requirement fee.

Hello Mamie, Hearing from our guests is invaluable, and we greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. Yes, we are proud to serve our guests in two on-site restaurants. Our more formal dining experience is The Dining Room. Reservations are not required but highly recommended as our tables do fill quickly. At times when all our reservations and our waiting list is filled, we recommend additional guests enjoy the delicious menu in The Attic. We apologize that this was not better explained to you. Having rooms maintained and ready to welcome guests for a relaxing stay is essential, so we're sharing your concern with our maintenance team. Booking travel can often be a complicated endeavor as you try to compare and price a variety of hotels. It seems in this case you did not see details of the refundable deposit, and we will take a closer look at fee descriptions. We hope to have another opportunity to welcome you in the future; we're sure our commitment to always improving will wow you!

Peaceful Romantic Getaway

Posted Jun 15, 2017
Pros: Amazing Spa Delicious Food Comfortable Bed Huge bathtub for two Beautiful Views
Cons: Front desk staff could be slightly more responsive.
Location: Great walking trails Town of North Bend nearby if you need a store or want to go to a different restaurant Relax! Go to the spa
We stayed at Salish for our first anniversary. It was exactly what we needed! It was so peaceful, and the room was really comfortable! We especially loved the huge shower and tub. Both restaurants serve delicious food, and having two restaurants on-site provides amazing variety; also, the view from the windows is so beautiful! The spa services are not to be missed. We will definitely be back soon!
