Could have been a 5* rating if not for the noise

Posted Jul 1, 2017
Pros: Friendly staff and comfortable beds
Cons: Turn on air conditioner...please
We stayed at The Stonebridge Inn in the last week of June. The staff is friendly and the hotel is comfortable. I would have giving it 5 * rating if not for the following problem. There is no air conditioner or just not turned on at all for all rooms. I had read this "No air conditioner" problem in some reviews and thought that wouldn't be a big deal for us. I was wrong. We had to leave the room window wide open to cool the room down even when we went bed. Our room was two floor above the outdoor seating area of the hotel restaurant. My wife could hear conversation from restaurant guests until almost 11:30pm.

Great location, comfortable but not luxurious

Posted Jun 29, 2017
Pros: The location, mountain views, and ability to get around without driving everywhere.
Cons: The breakfast buffet is good, but lacks variety.
Location: You're surrounded by gorgeous mountain scenery. Aspen and Maroon Bells are within easy reach, and Glenwood Springs, a hot springs, is an hour away.
The Inn is high up in the Snowmass resort area. Convenient free buses to Aspen and Maroon Bells. Very comfortable but not 5-star luxury. Competent, friendly staff. Breakfast buffet is so-so.

Very Noisy Room

Posted Jun 26, 2017
We were delayed in checking into the hotel, and the room they gave us was on the top floor, but was directly above the hotel entrance. It was very noisy beginning early in the morning.

Thank you for your recent comments regarding your stay with us. I am sorry you found your room to be noisy as it does get busy on some morning throughout the Village depending on occupancy levels. We hope you will come back and stay with us in the future and we will put you on the back side of the Inn which is much more quiet. Best Regards, Hank Hays Director of Operations

Just ok

Posted Jun 16, 2017
Pros: Courtesy of staff, cleanliness of room
Location: Gondola ride to the top of the mountain. Maroon Bells - must see! Hot springs at Avalanche Ranch (about an hour away but definitely worth the drive.
This hotel has NO air conditioning. Apparently only 2 properties in Snowmass Village have A/C. We visited in early June and even though the temperature dropped to the 40's at night, it was still warm in our room. You can open the windows and there is a ceiling fan and another fan in the closet but it was still warm and stuffy, even at night. In relation to this, the screen on our window was too small for the window but we did not realize this until a wasp fit its way through the opening and made its way into our room! The screen was about 1 inch too small - we placed a towel over the space for the rest of our stay. The website advertises a pool and hot tub that is open YEAR ROUND. However, neither were open for our stay and that is one of the main reasons I booked this hotel. They said the pool/hot tub is owned by another property and they don't have control over when they open for the summer - they offered us passes to access a hot tub at a sister property but it was still DISAPPOINTING to not have pool access at our hotel. We found that the walls are a bit thin, we could hear other guests talking in the surrounding rooms. We also paid for a "mountain view" room, which I don't think was worth the extra charge. These several things definitely had a poor impact on what would have otherwise been a pleasant stay.

Dear Rachel, Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on your recent stay. Glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Due to the short nature of our summer season here in Snowmass we do not have A/C in the rooms. However, we are lucky that the Colorado climate is usually cooler than the rest of the county during the summer months. It also gets very chilly at night so with the windows cracked open, the rooms usually cool right down. Prefect for sleeping. Hope to see you next time your travels bring you back to Snowmass, Best Regards, Hank Hays Director of Operations
