Excellent hotel in the heart of Sofia!
Excellent location in the heart of Sofia. Huge, comfortable room, though we couldn't get the temperature right (it was too warm in the room). Very helpful staff, though they don't have irons and ironing boards in the rooms and you need to use the laundry service to get clothes ironed. The plusses definitely outweigh the negatives--I've stayed in several hotels in the same area and this one is among the very best.

Hotel is located in a dead end street and quiet area. The hotel was built on top of ruins and can be viewed in the main lobby. We parked in front of their hotel for free. Staff at front desk and sit floor restaurant were excellent with great food. Gym had only one thread mill and the lots of weight lifting machines. The rooms are clean, good bed, spacious, with big bathroom. Would definitely recommend this place!!! Center of town is nearby!!!

Archaeological ruins in the bottom of the hotel were unique. Very disappointed with what was supposed to be a 5-star hotel that would/could not turn on the air conditioning because they were still in "winter mode". Recommendation was to open the windows which brought in the outside noise and humidity.

Awful experience: while doing my booking I asked to provide me with a mattress topper and a summer blanket. The hotel did not reply. When I arrived, I discovered that non was provided. The bed was awful hard. Air conditioning did not work. There was dirt in the room (nails cut by someone before me near bed). The shower was overflowing. So basically awful sleeping conditions, and no good shower. Escalating the issue to hotel manager brought no result - as a consolation I got a voucher for a meal in their restaurant....

Nice hotel but not for weekends
Make sure Not! to stay there during weekends! There is a dance club close to the hotel that makes the hotel's wall to shake and to be very uncomfortable to sleep. At the reception they said that it is like that every weekend. The 2nd floor contains rooms that are with window but it's like a close patio and not aloowing to breath. We asked to change the room and they changed it to an upper room which was great. During the week it is a very nice hotel and the staff is very good. The cleaning lady doesn't put water every day and doesn't add soap and shampoo. Location is very good!

Great experience overall and a voucher for a glass of wine, and another for Prosecco and antipasti in the rooof restaurant. Waiters were a little unresponsive in the lower restaurant. Rooms were a great size.

This hotel is just a short walk from the metro (which goes to the airport), most sites, restaurants, etc. The breakfast buffet is very extensive and tasty and is served until 10 or 10:30. The room is comfortable, clean, and quiet. The staff are friendly, efficient, and helpful.

Great hotel right in the center of Sofia’s downtown area. The staff, the food and the Roman ruins make of this hotel an incredible place to stay. Our room was upgraded to a gorgeous suite!!! Every time I will book a hotel in Sofia, I will definitely choose Arena di Serika!!

Slipping a tad!
I have stayed at this hotel over a number of years and have always been happy with it. When I stayed last year I felt it wasn't quite as good and this year standards are definitely dropping and the place is becoming jaded. The junior staff remain helpful .

This is the best option that we've found yet in Sofia. Rooms are spacious and in excellent condition. Service is great. The only problem is a club nearby that has the subwoofers cranked up really loud until 3:00 am some mornings, but that is probably outside of the hotel's control.

Loud club next door until 4:00 am.
Hotel does not tell you that on Saturday nights, the club next door delivers loud music and vibrations to your room until 4am making it impossible to sleep. Also, front desk should know where the closest supermarket is located. This is a top hotel and staff should be Informed about basic things.

I would recommend this hotel.
The hotel was clean and in very good condition. It had all the luxuries you would expect from a 5* hotel. The area is also relatively close to the main sites in Sofia. There are a couple of good eateries close by, and a lot of other good restaurants within a 20 minute walk max. You can also find very good cafes very close to the hotel. The service was a bit 'relaxed' maybe, but I find that's just the Bulgarian way, and I didn't mind at all. All in all, an excellent stay. Thank you!

Fabulous hotel in sofia
This is one of the best hotels I've been to. It's a 5 star hotel so you know what you are getting into. It is located behind the British Embassy in one of the poshest and nicest areas of Sofia. I would strongly recommend you to book it with breakfast included! The staff particularly the two ladies in charge of the breakfast were very friendly and helped us with shipping recommendations for local products. It has valet parking included which is in the basement of the hotel. We loved this hotel so much that we decided to extend our booking for another day! Strongly recommend this hotel!!

Great location for sightseeing
5 min walk to Blvd Vitosha, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and loads of day there great sights. But nice & quiet location, incredibly comfortable beds. Best night’s sleep in ages!
