We LOVED 🥰 our stay here!! Wonderful place in the middle of heaven! The staff is SO helpful and friendly, it made a difference for us. Excellent breakfast. Best room we’ve had in a long time! The skylight window has a view on the waterfalls on top of the cliffs by the hotel. We’ve never been in such a beautiful place and we’ve travelled A LOT before. We HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Conveniently located right off the cruise from Flam to Gudvangen. Then the bus to your next destination is right next to the hotel. So peaceful! The room was very clean and comfortable. Good wifi in room. If you are in the area, you have got to stay there ☺️

A nice nice layover.
The hotel offers comfortable rooms immediately adjacent to the boat dock where all the fjord tours arrive. The restaurant served a nice dinner and breakfast buffet. The rooms have skylights so the moon and the mountains are visible.

The check-in process was terrible because of an inappropriate clerk: She sent me to zone 5 without specifying the number of the cabin (which was 16) ... I looked for the cabin for an hour at night and then I just realized that we have to spend the night in zone 5 in cabin 16!!

Amazing property at the entrance to the fjord. Beautiful location. View of waterfalls from the condo. Well equipped. Grocery Store/gas sation was also very near. Front desk was very accomodating and helpful . We had a wonderful stay and wishing we could have stayed a few more days.

We were disappointed at the basic quality of the houses / bungalows where we were lodged, which are not in the modern building you see in the pictures. Gudvangen itself is, however, stunning; the fjord is incredible.

Spectacular location. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Staff are a bit icy and you kind of have to find your own way around, but the view of the fjord is well worth a stay.

What more could you want?
The location of this hotel couldn’t be more spectacular, the staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast is great.

2 nights in Gudvangen
Beautiful location adjacent to a small fjord with maybe 20 waterfalls. Very convenient for a boat ride to nearby Flam, at another and larger fjord. You can also catch a shuttle bus to Flam and return on the boat. Gudvangen is smaller than Flam so less dining and lodging options. Our room was a little small and very clean bed very comfortable and shower had good pressure and hot water. Staff was very helpful and provided good information.

It was wonderful to have an option for our whole travel party. We rented a 3-bedroom apartment, and were very pleased. Comfy beds, great views and a charming area.

Totally disappointing. They gave away our rooms even though we had it pre paid.:( and their reasoning was that they couldn’t see us in the system. The staff was very rude and not accommodating even after this disaster.

This hotel was a great stop at the end of our Norway in a Nutshell Cruise from Flam to Gudvangen. We stayed in the Viking Room which was very fun and enjoyed a tour through the Viking Village the next morning. We had an easy 20 minute bus ride back to Flam for our cruise to Bergen.

La habitación vikinga increíble, muy bonita y cómoda, solo la luz de la ventana en el techo muy fuerte, aunque te dan cubre ojos a la hora que te lo quitas es muy fuerte el cambio tan repentino y hace que la habitación se caliente de más aunque afuera esté haciendo frío

Absolutely amazing location, great for families. Surprisingly fine food served for dinner. Walking distance from bus stop if you are travelling via the national bus company, walking distance to the Viking village. Perfect stay! Would highly recommend

Great, quirky little hotel with beautiful skylights in the ceiling of your traditional norwegian hut room. Solid breakfast, stunning location away from the hordes at Flam but v close to Flam and right on the dock for the flam ferry cruise. Staff were wonderful too. Only wish there were more vegan options for lunch or dinner.

Really friendly staff always making sure that my stay was going well. Make sure you book a Viking room the sun roof turns into a great way to star gaze from my bed. Really great shower head and water pressure. Located in the mountains would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We had more room than in a typical hotel and the kitchenette was a bonus. The rooms were clean and we were able to walk to the Viking Village and the boat for our cruise.

Property had outstanding view of the fjord without other hotels around. Outside dining area was available and in the evening fire pits were lit. Several hiking options nearby. Dinner meals were some of the best we had and at good value. The local trout and venison came with a rich sauce full of local ingredients yet didn’t overpower the meal.

This property is very quaint and the surrounding area is picturesque. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It is easy to get to/from Flam by bus and Fjord cruises depart from right outside the hotel. 3 restaurants are available and even a Viking village/museum nearby. We enjoyed the natural beauty of the environment the most.
