Ideal for NEC ,also for shopping..

Enjoyed my stay at Ramada, staff excellent especially in reception ,but hotel is in need of updating, also small amounts of black mould around bath and floor tiles..

Fabulous Hotel n Staff

This Hotel is a great Hotel great value for money stayed here quite a few times and we have , Never come accross a more set of friendly kind and welcoming staff , nothing is too much trouble for them The suites on ground floor are fabulous very modern and cosy . A special mention to Vicky on reception greeted us with a warm friendly welcome was very helpful as always . Food was very nice highly recommend the Indian restaurant 5 stars , and George’s bar is very quaint and cosy again pleasant helpful friendly bar staff . Location is perfect , Carnt wait to return .

Nice hotel

Pros: Closeness to the centre
Cons: Nothing at the moment.
Location: Good shopping centre and plenty of places to eat and dine
Very close to the centre of town, hotel clean and staff very friendly. Nice choice of breakfast at the hotel

Family Visit

Pros: Close to Town centre and shops
Cons: There is a refurbishment programme ongoing and this is needed, but the hotel is ideal for a short stay.
Location: Only one night stayed so experience limited.
We were in Solihull to have lunch with family members. The Ramada fitted the bill for a one night stay and lunch. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room on the first floor was clean, comfortable and quiet but bathroom in need of refurb. Food good - would use again.

We generally use this hotel when exhibiting at the NEC. It's a relatively short journey to the NEC from the hotel and Solihull shops and eating are all easily accessed. Recently we have had some confusion with booking rooms, even though these are always booked well in advance of a Show. Some rooms have been refurbished to a good standard, others seem in need of a little tlc.

Solihull Stay

Lovely hotel, literally 2mins walk away from Solihull Town centre, only problem we encountered was that our room was situated right next door to the lift, which at times became quite loud.

Dirty and best avoided

On entering the “hotel” the check in was quite easy, the “hotel” does look tired with dirty carpets and peeling wallpaper, regardless we pushed on. The room itself was awful, the bathroom sink was cracked and had been painted and there was dirt up the walls. We knocked the bed and noticed that there was food and filth under the bed, along with a curious stain which kind of looked like a dead rat however it was somewhat unidentifiable, the coffee and tea situion was located under inside a cupboard. This was at best rank, there was hair and dirt around the surroundings. The bed was hard and we had to ask for another duvet to softern and try to save our backs. Needless to say we weren’t asked how our day was. I expect that the lady on reception was wise not to ask. The owners of this “so called” 4 star hotel should be very embarrassed to be offering this to anyone. I’ll certainly not be staying here again, to be fair I’d rather sleep on the streets.

Did the job, but needs a lot of TLC

Pros: The staff were friendly.
Cons: The upkeep of the building in general. Decor, lick of paint, bathrooms need TLC.
I can't say I was extremely disappointed however the hotel itself is a bit run down and definitely needs TLC - especially in the bathrooms. The bedroom was okay but the bathroom was not something I expected from a Ramada hotel. There was staining around the sealing, chips in the bathtub, the whole place needs a lick of paint (including the bedroom). The staff were very friendly however. I wouldn't go there for a romantic weekend, put it that way! It does the job if you need somewhere to stay last minute.
