Wrong room issued while actual room was available.

Posted Jan 28, 2018
Prior to this trip the hotel was always a pleasant stay but upon arrival I was told there was no single king available due to over booking. Once I went to the double queen that was available I noticed a single king being cleaned so I went back down to the lobby and asked if I could wait for that room since it’s what I booked. I was told the room was not in service due to damage so much to my dismay I went back to the double queen only to find shortly thereafter another couple who arrived after myself get issued the room across the hall that I asked about. I proceed to speak with the lobby again and was told that the room was not in use yet I watched the couple enter and place the do not disturb sign on and when I checked on multiple booking sites kings were still listed as available. Needless to say I can’t recommend staying here for future visits since the room that you book will not be guaranteed.

Not up to Mariott standards

Posted Sep 17, 2017
Pros: The rooms were clean, and breakfast was better than average.
Cons: The beds were tired, and the hotel was rife with small problems.
Location: Easy access to 287, but there are better hotels on this same road.
I had high hopes for our 2 night stay, as a frequent guest of Mariott properties, but was quickly disappointed by a number of issues. The staff struggled with a reservation for mine and my fathers name (the same), despite different routes of booking. Upon check in we were given keys to one room which contained another guest, whom we awoke when attempting to enter their room. This left us concerned that once situated, we would have our room keys given out too. Further troubling our stay were 2 wedding parties that were loud, and required us to complain to the management. To their credit intervened and the noise greatly abated. Also due to the wedding, there was no parking available on the second night, yet there were box trucks and cargo trailers sprawled out over the few available spaces. We were told to park in the fire lanes by the front desk, adding that "they never enforce those anyhow". Lastly, there was some minor concrete repair going on outside, and there was an abandoned saw blade sitting in the lot, next to a parking space. My 4 year old was immediately drawn to this safety hazard, as many kids are, and I can't help but thinking a less attentive parent would have an injured child on their hands. Oh yeah, and we had a dead fridge too. It appears as if this place needs more effective management, someone who looks around and proactively intervenes in situations to prevent guest issues, instead of waiting for the issues to be bought to their attention.

My stay at Fairfield was a extremely pleasant experience. The room and staff made sure the best experience was provided.

Excellent hotel to stay at! Nicest in the area.

I have stayed at other hotels on this street before and I have to say this is the best one I have stayed at. The free breakfast was outstanding with FRESH fruit every morning and not the kind that is in some kind of preservative. Lots of variety of offerings and everything was hot and nicely presented. Our room was very clean, my only concern was that the hallways weren't always as clean as the rooms were. One complaint I have about many very nice hotels is why do they use cheap toilet paper and Kleenex in their rooms? Can't they afford to provide a higher quality brand, especially when everything else is so lovely.
