The hotel was very nice the only complaint I have is that people were knocking on our doors and they called and complain about noise when we weren't making any noise at the time the call came in from the front desk we were actually sleep. They should do a little investigating on where the noise is coming from before disturbing people two & three times. Other than that the hotel was great.

Stayed for just one night but the staff were exceedingly professional and there are several restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was more than satisfactory but was fairly ordinary.

A very good bargain and near many food options...
I really enjoyed my stay at the Hampton Inn-South Plainfield. The staff is friendly, and from what I experienced, take pride in being in the hospitality business. Just one example: I needed to attend a convention in the area before I was officially checked in at the hotel. The staff allowed me to check in early -- no problem -- so we can put our bags in the room and prepare for the convention. And the staff was professional, warm and cordial throughout our stay. Very nice facilities; it happened to be Christmas time during our stay and the place had the best decorations of any hotel I've every stayed at, and I travel a lot. As for the room: big & airy with a small fridge; cable TV with numerous channels; coffee maker; great water pressure in the shower. Comfy beds, but they were slightly on the firm side. Free breakfast as part of the room stay and it was quite generous and hardy: waffle maker, cheese omelets, French toast sticks, home fries, cereals, yogurts, muffins, etc. Really enjoyed that. If you happen to stay during warm-weather months, there is an outdoor pool; I can't rate the pool, as we stayed in December. The hotel is located near shopping areas with a lot of food options.

We were able to accommodate an early check-in for you, Filled you up with our complimentary HOT breakfast, and our room amenities to just to name a few. Were glad you were able to enjoy the location and it's convivence to shopping and dining. Clean and comfortable stay. Very convenient for visiting Rutgers. Staff went out of their way to help me retrieve a lost item. As great customer service is rare these days, the staff deserves a shout out.
