My fiancé and I stayed at Tapestry Somerset for 1 night on Saturday April 17, 2021 – Sunday April 18, 2021. We had a very displeasing experience with the front desk who completed our check in upon arrival. As we arrived on Saturday night, we informed the front desk that we had booked our stay with Expedia and that I booked a regular king size room. However, we were given an wheelchair accessible king size room. I informed the front desk that I did not want the accessible room because that was not what I booked. I showed her my confirmation stating that I selected the regular king size room, and she still insisted that I take the accessible room. She tried to convince me that the accessible room was the same as the regular room. As I entered the room, I noticed that the shower was meant for a person with a wheelchair. I did not feel comfortable staying in a room, that could be of good use to someone who has a physical disability. I informed the front desk that I did not feel comfortable staying in the room, since it is a wheelchair accessible room. When I refused to accept the room, she made a snarky comment and tried to persuade me into taking the room. As I continued to refuse the wheelchair accessible room, I showed her on my phone, that I booked my accommodations for a king size room. I was rudely informed that she was not able to make any changes. After numerous attempts of trying to convince me to accept a wheelchair accessible room.
