Could be better
The apartment itself was a good size there was only the two of us, but I think would be cramped for 6 people. The apartment had everything we needed. The swimming pool complex is under construction which we were aware of before we booked, however the restaurants have limited service We went to buy a take out pizza at 7:15 and was told there wasn’t a pizza chef working that day. Went to the golf clubhouse ordered a bottle of wine €19 asked for a menu and was told they stop serving food at 3pm So although the place has lots to offer, you can’t rely on the website for what’s actually available and when It was fine for the two of us, but if you have children I think this would be a disappointing holiday

A re-visit to Belle Dune
This was our second visit to this quiet, picturesque resort. We stayed in a well equipped, two bedroom apartment all of which are centrally located near the main facilities. The houses, however may be some distance from the centre. There are good beaches nearby at Quend (35 mins. walk) and Fort Mahon (50 mins walk). There are pay car parks at both resorts but they do get full early at week-ends on good weather days. Why not hire bikes or bring your own, there are good cycle paths to both resorts.

A short break at Belle Dune
We stayed for 4 nights in a two-bedroom apartment which gave three of us plenty of space. It was clean and tidy on our arrival. The kitchen was well equipped with a large fridge/freezer microwave with grill and a dishwasher (tablets for this were provided in a small welcome pack). The apartments at Belle Dune are all close to the centre but this is a large park and some of the houses can be further away. The indoor heated pool has small and large slides and each half hour the wave machine is activated. There is also an outdoor Aqua park but this is only open until early September. There are several walks through the dunes to the coast at either Quend or Fort Mahon, why not walk one way and take the free mini-train the other. (Mini-train operates only at week-ends out of season). My only criticism would be the Free Basic Wifi it could not be picked up in our apartment. (This was our second visit to the park and on the previous occasion the wifi was fine. Overall in my opinion a nice place to stay.

‘Cosy’ accommodation in a Centre Parc style resort
The accommodation flat was ‘cosy’ but very clean. The double room was 2 small singles which could have been moved together. Sofa bed in bijoux living area with kitchen (microwave and hob). Veranda overgolf course. Suitable for 3, and weather was good- not sure how Feel if wet. Village is spacious, Aquapool was brilliant for kids- mini centre parc style inside/outside with slides and waves. Beware the strictly follow the French skimpy shorts/ budgies- can buy from shop for a premium. Didn’t use lake activities but looked good. Excellent location- close to 2 beaches and 15-20 mins from Le Touquet.

Good location
A beautiful location with fantastic beaches nearby. Fort Mahon and Quend beaches both worth visiting, although check tide times if you’re looking for a whole day on the beach as Quend beach gets fully submerged at high tide. The sunsets there are amazing! We stayed in a two bed, first floor apartment near the main square. The apartment was clean and well equipped (note that if you’re staying in standard accommodation, you will be making up your own beds with the linen provided and must clean your own kitchen area before leaving) The sofa bed was creaky and rather noisy, but that’s the nature of them I guess. The Aquaclub pools were great with a super wave machine in the indoor pool! One word of warning - loose swimming shorts are forbidden, men must wear Lycra shorts or speedo in the Pools, which can be a trial for some! Overall a lovely week with a few small hiccups due to the language barrier!

Speedos only!!!
Not a bad place but went totally off it when refused entry to pool facilities unless wearing Speedos. Thought they were joking but no, Speedos required or no entry. Speedos €40 in resort shop. No chance, very disappointed when that’s probably the main attraction unless you’re playing golf. Poor.

We stayed at P&V Belle Dune for 3nights for Easter holiday. We had a great time there. Staff tried to help us even if we can’t speak Franch and they can’t speak English. The swimming pool is much smaller than Center Parc but it is better for families who have small children. One thing we were not happy about is we had to make our beds. We don’t want to spend time for making beds after a long drive.

My partner and I stayed at the Belle Dune village with her 11 year old son. We thought the village had a nice layout with an attractive lake in the centre. Our apartment was OK with moderate facilities and was basically furnished. We thought that some of the village was looking a little tired and could have done with a freshen up. As we were located in the centre of the village we found it noisy in the evenings especially when a temporary disco was set up for an hour or two right under our balcony! We thought the reception staff were friendly and helpful and from our point of view spoke quite good English. The main restaurant was nice with a very good buffet style meal set up although a little expensive if you can't manage or don't want to eat everything! On the whole we enjoyed our stay but probably wouldn't stay again.

Lovely setting but disappointing comfort level
Our holiday was okay although once the staff realised we couldn't speak French their patience was limited. We were given the wrong code to the car park on arrival, (this also happened to a Dutch family that we found struggling on our last day), this meant that it was a bit stressful after a long drive finding our house and parking. On arrival the house was clean although it is a bit annoying having to make up your beds but we did know this prior to arriving. The kitchen is very basic with only a microwave and hob no oven or toaster although we did work out how to grill one pizza at a time in the microwave. There is a dishwasher but would have swapped that for a toaster! There was no English TV channels, luckily we had downloaded films prior to arrival and plugged the lap top into the tv. The WiFi was manageable but not fab. The only settee in the room was also a sofa bed and two wide to sit on comfortably we all ended up with bad backs particularly as the beds weren't comfortable either. Book a larger house than you need as a two bedroom house meant for up to 6 really is very tiny for 4. We tried our best to read the french information leaflets even using google translate but we would have got more out of the holiday if we understood what was available to us. I wouldn't recommend booking a holiday here unless you speak some French.

Pleasant place / unfriendly staff
It is a pleasant place to stay . Indoor pool is clean and heated well. Great if you have baby / toddler . It is shame that there is no place for kids to play apart from the kids club which you have to pay €30 for 3 hours supervised. I wasn't happy to leave my 1 year old child with people I didn't know. So kids club wasn't an option for me. If you have a car the location is good. Otherwise there is not a lot around . Despite the unfriendly staff I would still recommend the place as it is a pleasant place to stay with pretty surroundings.

Great swimming pool with massive wave machine, two 11 year old girls we had with us loved this. Burger bar was limited and was really the only place to eat on site! However lots of good restaurants under 2km away, just look at trip advisor. Resort was a bit tired but good for a short break.

Lovely restful location
Not a hotel but a one bedroom house which cosily sleeps 5. Dissapointing that the bedroom had 2 single beds with a 3rd being a pull down. The sitting area had a double bed settee. A fully equiped kitchen with dishwasher great for selfcatering holidays and 5 minutes drive to a supermarket. The kettle didnt actually boil which for a brit tea drinker was a challenge so either take you own or finish the boiling process on the hotplate. We had a small mosquito problem in the evenings, the house, like most of them, backed onto a small lake so repellent is recommended. Other than that a lovely place we would definitlely recommend and stay again if we are in that area.

Awesome wave machine and great flumes
We were upgraded without cost to a VIP 2 bedroomed centrally located apartment as my husband has mobility issues. This was a most welcome surprise. As it was peak season, there were plenty of shows and evening entertainment and the leisure pool was second to none (apart from the overly stringent rules). If you do not mind being resort based it is a great location, nearby beaches very sandy and long, especially at Crotoy. Amiens well worth a visit. I found one or two of the reception staff quite abrupt but others very helpful.

Excellent long weekend
We had a fantastic time at Belle Dune, the standard of the apartment was excellent and very well equipped. We ate in the restaurant both nights, having discovered that it was much better value than those in the nearby town and had the bonus of very friendly and helpful staff. In general the facilities were very good and we really enjoyed the pool and it's slides, wave machines and jacuzzi. The only concern was that the mini-market on the complex seemed a little more expensive and had a more limited selection of foodstuffs than comparable sized shops elsewhere. But that was a minor issue and we hope very much to return for a longer stay!

Belle Dune - Return soon!!
Stayed three nights in May 2014 with accompanying two dogs in well- -equipped studio. Very dog friendly. Very pleasant staff. Beautiful well kept surroundings. During our stay I think we were the only Brits resident amongst mostly French and a few Belgians which added to the very courteous and relaxed atmosphere of the village. The architectural style of the village buildings was very varied and the central hub/reception and La Place seemed to be constructed in the New England style - all very pleasing to the eye. Our experience was enhanced by us enjoying glorious weather throughout our stay, the reflection of the buildings in the main lake provides a lasting memory but probably because of the unseasonal rather hot, bright sunny weather, mosquitos were, and could be a problem, at this time.

Lovely Location
This was a brilliant place for a bit of 'away from it all' relaxation. We booked a VIP house with two bedrooms for up to 6 people but only had three staying. This meant we did not need to use the double sofa bed in the living room/dining room/kitchen area. We had a lovely lake view and were joined by five swans and several ducks at breakfast time as the patio area was only five yards from the lake! The outdoor swimming pool was closed as September is 'out of season', but the indoor pool with wave machine and water slide more than made up for this.

Great stopover for young children and lovely staff
Booked at Belle Dune last minute as found out that it was raining on our 2 night stay in France and we have a dog and a 5 year old. Was a very good move! 5 year old spent lots of time in the swimming pool which had lots of slides, Jacuzzi, beds to lie on, wave machines etc. Staff were lovely and all spoke great English - everyone was really helpful. Fresh baguettes from the shop every morning. Only downside was no English channels on the TV (we booked VIP so bought some DVDs to watch instead) and the pool didn't open until 11 which, for us, was halfway through our day. Generally thought place was great, good value and I would stop there again, great for young children

a big shock
We thought we had booked a 4 star hotel on a golf course for a 2 night romantic break. Wrong on all accounts. We were allocated a ground floor room which had a very small bedroom with two really small single beds, and a double fold out bed in the lounge, plus, a rather unusual smell. We went straight back to reception and asked for a room with a double bed and were told we would have to pay 40 euro extra for a "superior" room. We took it, and to be fair the balcony and view were very good, the double bedroom was up some narrow stairs, next to a bathroom without a toilet. That was downstairs, and as we are pensioners the middle of the night loo trip was "fun". Then, to our amazement, we had to make up our own beds with a pack provided, and even worse, no towels in the bathroom, but they did supply 2 butter pat size bars of soap. I HAVE NEVER HAD TO MAKE UP A BED IN A 2,3, OR 4 STAR HOTEL BEFORE. Then we read back some reports, and discovered it was a Centre Parcs, great for kids, but not oldies. We could see the golf course in the distance from the balcony. We had taken dress up clothes for some fine dining, waste of time. I have used Hotels .com on many trips, and never been deceived like this before. It is a family resort, with basic accommodation. Finally, I would love to know where they took some of the pictures, I cannot believe they were at this place!. Plus, who gave it a 4 star rating?

Quirky and great for kids
Had a great stay here: we upgraded to a lakeside cottage/maissonette, and the girls loved having breakfast and feeding the ducks from the veranda. There's plenty to do, especially the waterpark which was virtually empty (May bank hol) and wooded trails. Be aware - this is not a traditional hotel in the sense that there is no room service, the rooms aren't cleaned, you have to make (and strip) your beds and dispose of your own rubbish (oh and bring your own loo roll). Hence the low mark for quality of service. Fort Mahon Plage is not a particularly picturesque resort, but the beach is fantastic, and if you walk 100m in either direction down the beach, there are wonderful sand dunes.

Great location, great rooms, poor service!
The surrounding and the quality of the accommodation are phenomenal but the added extras spoils it : 6 euros or hire of 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel is ridiculous especially considering that the bed linen is inclusive in the price of the holiday! And paying for the most rubbish wifi. During our stay most of the facilities were unavailable too as they were having a refurbishment however this was not advertised anywhere. The staff especially the reception staff were not very understating about any of our complaints and this was not due to language difficulties as we are native French speakers.

Great holiday resort for families.
We had a lovely stay at Belle Dune. Although when I originally booked it I was told we were staying in a hotel, then I was informed it was a house. We did in fact stay in one of the new apartments. I have been to Belle Dune before and it has changed since my last visit. While we were staying at Belle Dune the indoor swimming pool had to be vacated and the water drained out, because someone had gone to the toilet in the water. I found this very disturbing and the pool was closed until the next day.

picturesque hotel village
We stayed at this holiday village the first time for 2 nights. We are a family of four and our children are over 20 years old. We did not take part of their activities or evening entertainment so cannot offer comment on these. I can image the holiday village activities will be excellent for young children. We booked one-bedroom house (4-5 person select). The interior design is modern and clean but the upstairs bedroom is too small for 3 adults. In my opinion, It is designed to fit 3 children in the upstairs bedroom, the downstairs double sofa bed can be little bit uncomfortable. The kitchen utensil are equipped and sufficient. The hotel village will provide a pack of cleaning kit such as washing up liquid and tablets for dish washer. I think it is good that we did not need to buy from the shop. We have excellent sleep there and enjoyed the quite location. There is a security staff working at night to patrol the car park. It feels safe to stay at this remote holiday village.

GREAT FAMILY RESORT
On arrival we were met by friendly reception staff and upgraded to a 4/5 apartment which had one twin bedroom a double and single sofa bed in living roo. We travelled as family of 4 (children 3 and 9months old), but found accomodation to be a bit of a squeeze at times when the living room sofa bed was out . All extra activities such as mini-golf, tennis, pedaloes, kayaks, boats, childrens clubs, bicycles had to be paid for seperately. Onsite restaraunt was lovely we ate there twice, good choices and specials and reasonable, service was extremely slow on our first night but much better on our second visit ( Bar, laundrette, small supermarket, golf club, sports hall on site (remember to order your croissants the previous day for fresh morning delivery.) Few paths eading down to the beach but none were suitable for taking a puschair/wheelchair we had to turn back one day as it was mostly a sand/gravel road of around 2km in distance, however, i did jog it one day to Quend Plage which is a lovely beach but you must check to see when the tide is in.Handy mini train. The sswimming pool was brilliant but got very crowded at times as the public were allowed to use it. However, on two seperate occasions my son and I witnessed floating poo in the water (so disgusting, but as I say it was extremely busy and I dont think the lifeguards had seen it.) Overall great accomodation only an hour or so from Calais, plenty of facilities and great setting with the lake.

Great time chilling out in Belle Dune.
Just back from a great week's holiday at Belle Dune. We loved our two bedroom house - plenty of space with the double bedroom and twin room for our family of two adults and two kids. The lounge/dining/kitchen area was spacious downstairs too and we had a nice patio area and small garden outside. We found the standard of the house to be very high, considering we had only opted for a basic "confort" standard house. We were also very impressed with the leisure facilities... we took our own tennis raquets and balls so could use the indoor courts free of charge. The indoor pool, Aquaclub, provided plenty of entertainment with its waves and slide for the cooler/damper days. We also took our own bikes and enjoyed cycling around the resort, down to Quend Plage (c.15 mins) and along to Carrefour supermarket (c. 10 mins), which is open on a Sunday morning to stock up when you arrive. We didn't try any of the entertainment provided on site as we were happy to amuse ourselves and explore the local area. Make sure you visit St Valery sur Somme, about twenty mins away, which is just gorgeous with a market on a Sunday. Also further afield you can visit Albert and the Somme battlefields around an hour and a half away down the A16. So much to see in the area so we are planning on heading back again next May/June half term to chill out and explore again!
