Big mistake

This is not a hotel, it's very smelly place. We couldn't use the rest room of our room because it smelled so bad. I believe. The walls are growing mold--very weird smell. It's too far away from the billund airport. The taxi from billund to this place costs about 500 danish krona. I absolutely wouldn't recommend.

nothing to do-unless there for legoland !

Hotel was ok but a bit like a step back in time to 1950s Staff freindly and helpful enough. Absolutely nothing to do within 20km however -execpt legoland

Great personal service made up for location

Pros: Excellent staff on reception
Cons: Long way from the airport
Location: Nice little town and quiet spot to get a good night's sleep
I had to book a hotel near Billund airport at very short notice and this was the closest I could find at a reasonable price. I was disappointed to find that it was about 16kms away, which cost around £40 by taxi each way, but the disappointment was short-lived once I got there. The hotel itself is unremarkable, but the young man on reception was superb. Could he book a taxi for me at 5:10am? No problem, it was waiting for me. Would I be too early for breakfast? Yes, but he arranged for a packed breakfast to be ade up for me and delivered to my room in a cool bag with ice blocks so it was fresh in the morning. I turned up late at the restaurant (about 8:45pm, having been out for a run) as I didn't realise it closed at 9pm and the kitchen closed earlier. But he said they could do the dish of the day for me which was Salmon fillets and the meal was superb and very good value. In the end I was pleased I had come so far to stay at this very friendly hotel!
