This off the beaten path hotel is a must stay. The connected restaurant served up one of the best burgers I’ve ever had ! Historical building with charm. The staff was the best. FYI: everything closes early so get what you need before you get there 👍
Hotel was a challenge to find, since there was no internet or GPS service on Route 1. But, room was GREAT! Very clean! Quaint “Mom&Pop” Hotel! Would definitely stay here again.
We had a delicious dinner at the restaurant and then headed upstairs to our nice clean room. Our room faced the road so I was surprised how quiet it was. The bed was comfy, the room well appointed, and the amenities were great. We loved our visit to the cheese store for a scone and coffee. We tasted the cheese and ended up buying some to take home. I’m looking forward to staying there again!
We loved staying here and took advantage of the restaurant and bar downstairs for evenings and the cheese store across street for our morning cappuccinos.
Clean room and comfortable bed. I only spoke to one staff member and she was very polite.

Check in was easy. The restaurant downstairs was noisy until almost 10. The refrigerator in the room made annoying whooshing sounds when it was running but we had stuff in there so I couldn’t unplug it. Overall not the most pleasant stay we’ve had over the last 3 weeks in motels.

Bed was comfortable, lightbulb was out by the bed, not a biggie, and the noise from the trucks outside was Loud. Easy to find, parking was good and could definitely smell the nearby cow pastures.
An absolutely wonderful hotel, fantastic, peaceful location, super friendly, helpful staff.
On site restaurant is excellent, I can highly recommend staying here, we'll definitely stay again.
This is a quaint, comfortable and extremely clean and well appointed place. Love the country setting and the walkability of the area. The management communicates very well and everything is as advertised. We will return!
Wow! What a cool, local, Americana kind of place! I wish I had more time here. Seems like a great base for N CA or wine country exploration. A great alternative to franchise or tired-looking lodging options in the area. Downstairs restaurant is amazing and so much fun, with a mix of local and visitors making for great conversation along with the great food and drink.
Reserved a room with a queen bed, as indicated on the web site. Room turned out to have only a double bed.
No one there to correct the situation.
No answer to telephone call.
They sent me a smarmy message later about how happy they were to accommodate me. Asked for critique.
Sent my complaint, but there was no reply.
The Valley Ford Hotel is a small six room converted farmhouse centrally located six miles from the coast, across the street from markets and restaurants. The area is very quiet and peaceful at night. Road construction in the area forced us to make a large detour.
The hotel was so cozy and so cute. The stay was lovely. I will definitely be back. The whole hotel is adorable and so comfortable very close to Bodega Bay and Petaluma.
My room did not have a TV and it was over looking the main road with 2 windows. So there was a lot of traffic noise.

Response from Valley Ford Hotel on Jul 25, 2022
This person did not stay at out property. The reservation was cancelled due to non-payment because the room was not held with a valid credit card. We left the customer multiple messages giving them an opportunity to give us a valid credit card to reserve the room. We are a small property and we specifically require a valid credit card to hold reservations.
Valley Ford is a tiny town that is a great jumping off point for visiting the area. The Valley Ford Hotel is small quite and comfortable. It was a great place for a woman traveling alone as it has only 6 rooms so no reason for lots of people to be around. There is all the basics available water coffee in the common area and a mini fridge in the room. The room was clean the bed was comfortable the sheets and towels were of good quality. Everything was in working order but the door lock was a little tight and the handle loose but functional. There was quality soap shampoo and conditioner provided. There is no staff on site 24/7 but there was no need. House keeping is providing but not daily. My stay was three night and my too was cleaned once. Over all I was very happy with my stay and would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a clean quite place to stay

The hotel was super charming. The room was lovely. And missing a smoke detector.
A bit pricey, but very nice. Room was very comfortable and clean. (No TV in the room.) Especially liked the communal Keurig with unlimited Peet's and Starbucks pods.
