Staff was hard to get a hold of leading up to this trip. We called several times and left several messages before we were responded to and almost cancelled. No trash cans on site in common areas to get rid of pet waste or waste in general bless you are in your room. Rooms look like they are fairly newly renovated and are super clean. EV chargers are available onsite - had I known, I would’ve taken my EV instead of my ICE car. Once the gentleman finally showed up to the check in lobby to check me in, things were fine. Customer service and hospitality could def use some work. We’d give this place a chance again just because it is clean, dog friendly, and centrally located in Guernville, but they could really use some work on their entire customer experience from beginning to end.

The view from the room was just beautiful and exactly like the pictures and description. Vineyard, forested hills, barn and fields. It was incredibly quiet and peaceful. There was a minor issue with the key card not working, but the owner took care of it in a timely manner, and he was very helpful and welcoming. The room was newly renovated, beds were incredibly comfortable, kitchen appliances were new and everything was sparkling clean. The outside of the buildings are more rustic (not renovated as recently as the interior) but this wasn't a problem for us. We loved the balcony overlooking the vineyard. The location is perfect and we went hiking in the Armstrong Redwoods and went to the beach in the same day (seeing a bald eagle on the beach and we saw birds, wild flowers, and banana slugs in the woods - very cool). We will definitely be back.

We have been coming to west Sonoma inn since 2016. And even know with our family growing we love to come back and stay at least once a year. The staff has always been sweet and accommodating.

Bait and switch. This property looked nothing like the pictures online, and when we showed up, we were told our room didn’t have air conditioning, and would we like to upgrade to a room with AC for extra $$. Property was run down and staff felt shady, so we left.

Not only is this the cutest little gem in Guerneville but the staff Wendy and Naveed have exceptional customer service! I went with my daughter spent the day at the pool then dinner and the next day floated the Russian river which was less than 6 min away. Prior to arriving Wendy called me and asked if I would like to upgrade my room and explained it would be an additional cost (no hidden fee? THANK YOU!) . I asked for a later checkout and Naveed let me know “we can make it work for you no problem” this will now be a tradition for my daughter and I. Thank you for such an amazing experience

Really enjoyed our stay here. The property is very close and walkable to downtown/main street. We stayed in a spa suite which was brand new and had amazing vineyard view. There are 2 Tesla chargers onsite, unfortunately an EV blocked both spots one day, and a non-EV parked in one overnight another night. Mgmt tried to help and contact the owners which was appreciated. Overall amazing stay and wonderful hotel.

Excellent location for walking to Guerneville. We left the car parked and walked to town. Only item to be aware of is that bed is very high off the floor.I would not recommend for the elderly or anyone that may be at risk getting in or out of bed. At 5'5", I could not sit on the bed without climbing up into it.

Late réservation on the president day's week end. The date registered on Expédia were wrong. They made it possible for us to "check in" a day ahead of the reservation date wrongly registered. Area offers a large range of activities and sightseeing.

Our cute and serviceable room I booked was broken. Chirping alarm and a broken heater (58 degrees), so we were "upgraded" to a suite. Um... I think he forgot to tell us that he was putting us into a room that wasn't finished being staged. The walls were bare, amenities were missing, and our view of the vineyard was relocated to a view of the parking lot. The ONLY good thing about this room is that it was clean.

We are very disappointed to see this review and the score that hurts any property. This guest booked a standard in the Vineyard Room section with a King Bed. shortly after arrival, we were informed by the guest that the fire alarm was chirping. We apologized and informed that we will have the maintenance replace the battery right away - give them an option to a free upgrade to a Countyard Suite (newly remodeled in 2021) hardwood floor, AC/Heating, Sitting room with complete wet bar, Window with views of the vineyard. Upon coming back to the desk for free upgarde, she said that she likes free upgrade and that she is a serious review writer. I am sorry the same room a guest stayed in the week after for 3 days and were so happy that they went and even bought the front desk Apple Gift card to thank for their service. Please see the room where wendy stayed in the courtyard suite for your self. West Sonoma Spa stay
Guerneville is awesome.. the hotel was nice, the rooms comfortable, the beds very nice, bathroom great water pressure.. the pool needs work, I heard many people talking about the algae at the bottom which you could see swaying with the movement of the water.. scary but we did swim in it.. oh the tv worked well !

Thank you Giselle - we appreciate you and your review. The pool's bottom concrete at the edges got a little discolored in 2019 Floods. Pool gets chemically tested on daily basis and surprise visited by county on a monthly. It is just discoloration, the fix is a major undertaking to redo the whole pool which we are looking into.

The people running the place were friendly and helpful. The grounds were beautiful and we spent a lot of time just walking around looking at all the beautiful landscaping. Our room was exactly what it looked like in the pictures. Made our trip perfect! We also liked the fact that you are tucked away so it’s quite and peaceful but you weren’t to far away that we could walk to town for everything we wanted, especially where we had dinner!

Lack of furniture in the rooms is an issue. We saw a couple of rooms, and their is no place to sit, except for a desk and chair. Who goes the Guernville to work at a desk? No comfortable lounge chairs. I get the impression that they ran out of money during a remodel. Eg., all units have chimneys and a control panel—for a non-existent fire place.

Staff were very friendly. Suites were very clean and comfortable. Beautifully located on a vineyard. Not all rooms have air conditioning but with the ceiling fan on and patio door open the room cooled down nicely at night.

Large room, really a suite. It was really hot when we were there, which is unusual. The a/c unit was dripping on the bed, which we brought to their attention, but it was not fixed during our stay. Seemed like staff wasn’t around much.

Property is showing its age. At $250 per night I expect hot water, ample towels, the room made up every day and a refrigerator that doesn’t leak. Pool was so dirty looking that we didn’t even invite our grandson over to swim.

Thanks for sharing your view - we were flooded a few years back and then shut for Covid. Most people enjoy our Beautiful grounds and proximity to the down. Most rooms are remodeled so please ask for a newer suite when you visit. Pool is open to all guest and is monitored and test everyday and is surprised visited by the county twice a month.
