Great lodge hotel near centre of Sonoma

We were in Sonoma for a wedding, we hadn't realised we would enjoy our hotel so much! Great staff, kids loved the pool area. Try to avoid annex though as it's close to roads.

A good place to stay in Sonoma

Pros: The room for the 3 of us was a good size, and the pool was perfect to relax around.
Location: On day 1 we visited the Redwoods and the Russian Valley wineries. Day 2 we went to the coast. Day 3 we took a bike tour of wineries close to Sonoma.
The hotel is nicely laid out and feels roomy. No problem parking. The pool area and terrace are good. The restaurant is good though its a pricey breakfast. The location is perfect, on the hotel shuttle bus its about 5 minutes to the town center where there is a abundance of restaurants and bars, and its an easy drive in the day to all the wineries!

Wonderful hotel with good amenities/offerings

Pros: The offerings.
Location: We stayed close to the plaza and enjoyed our one night/one day of simple extravagance.
We enjoyed the Bistro, yoga in the morning followed by a hike in the Sonoma hills.

Nice getaway spot in Sonoma

Pros: Lobby area, wine tastings, pool.
Cons: We reserved a cottage for 2 adults and 2 kids (4 people) but clearly the cottages can't sleep 4. Not sure why this was even an option.
Location: Short drive to town for food and drinks. Wine tastings.
You probably won't spend a lot of time in your room, which are pretty average. Bathrooms are impressive and the sleeping area is standard three-star fare these days. The pool area is lovely but the drinks service could be a little more attentive. Grounds are very pleasant with cottages clustered quite close together but on top of each other.

The wine tasting was an nice surprise as we checked in. My husband and I took a morning yoga class together and wanted a dip in the pool afterwards, but unfortunately a little person had left surprise earlier and the pool was closed for cleaning. The room was very clean and luxurious. The shuttle downtown was a nice perk too.

Pleasant place in wine country

Location: Location OK but just far enough from heart of Sonoma that a walk is not practical
Very pleasant stay. They do well with an older property. Staff great. Price probably competitive but no bargain.

Weird dripping pipes in bathroom ceiling that the hotel didn't seem concerned with. We had to place towels on floor to sop it up as to not slip on floor. Hotel offered credit but seemed less than enthused to help. The rest of our stay was great, wonderful location.

Lodge at Sonoma

The hotel and assistance was great. What was disappointing was I made reservations through Hotel.com for 2 double beds and the hotel was not able to accommodate the request. They informed me that the information was not passed on to them through the booking site. When I contacted the booking site they informed me that it was. I was staying with a friend and it was very disappointing that we did not have 2 double beds. The hotel did give us a small refund for our inconvenience which was a nice offer. We did enjoy our stay.
