Mediocre

Pros: The pool and spa are the only redeeming qualities.
Cons: Upgrade needed. Looks like they previously did a cheap renovation, it shows.
Location: Location is great. Close to town and great food places.
Even renovated, thsi hotel is old. I would put this at a two star hotel, not a 4 star as listed.

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are sorry you found your stay to be less than expected. We just performed a property wide upgrade to 300+ channels. Tesla Charging Stations and 10 acres of Wi-Fi as well. We're very happy you found our location to be great. We certainly agree. Five minutes to St Francis Winery, a short walk to Montgomery Village, our hotel certainly is centrally located.

Upgraded to a poolside suite at no charge without asking... Staff was excellent.. Grounds are awesome

The room was huge! I do wish the climate control was a little more precise to keep the air fresh. Got rather stuffy at times, even with the fan set to on instead of auto. Overall a very pleasant stay and super helpful staff. I arrivedich earlier than I anticipated and they worked to accommodate my needs. It was wonderful getting a little nap in after early morning travel.

Great place to stay!

Cute, clean rooms. Wish that there were smoking rooms or you could at least smoke on balcony so that is way one lost star. Also, wish they would have stated this while I made the reservation, as it would have changed my mind.

Second stay, still issues

The last time I stayed here was good enough to warrant a return trip. On my second visit I encountered some of the same issues as my previous visit. The keys don't work. Both times. This time was different because I was standing out in the rain with bags and kids waiting for someone to come all the way to the back of the building to let us in. The wifi still does NOT work. I requested a room with two beds. I got put in a room with a king and foldout couch. At checkin I mentioned that I did indeed ask for two beds and would like the room with two beds. The clerk told me I had been 'upgraded' to an executive king. I dropped the issue and agreed to take the room. But when I got to the room realized it was the room I had had last time. A basic king room. And while it may be called 'executive' it's just a room with a king bed and fold out couch. I don't appreciate that they made it seem like they were doing me a favor when in actuality they could not deliver what I paid for. I mentioned issue of this with the front desk. The manager called me the next day and was very friendly and apologetic and asked to send me an email and the next time I come I could request their 'best room with two beds' and he would see to it that we would be taken care of. That was really nice. But then he never emailed me. I like this hotel. I like the pool and hot tub and the rooms are decent. They just seem to have a problem with delivering the expected experience.

Great for kids

Pros: Excellent heated pool (helpful during winter) and hot tub. Well kept grounds. Pleasant 1950s retro style. Clean rooms.
Location: Wineries galore. Russian River Brewing.
Place has a good vibe. Great for kids. Concierge very helpful.

The room had insufficient lighting and the shower head was deplorable, barely functioning. Housekeeping rolled up the wet floor mat and left it for use the next day instead of replacing it. While I totally understand the logic behind not smoking in the room, you have made absolutely no accommodations for smokers outside - not even an ashtray. The very least you could do would be to provide a safe, comfortable place that would protect smoking guests from the elements. A small microwave in the rooms would be a wonderful addition, also. Your wait staff in the restaurant is excellent, friendly and extremely helpful, and I commend them for that.

We have been a non smoking hotel for almost thirty years. We do have strategically placed ash trays near many of the entrances to the hotel. We regret not showing you this at check in. We are always happy to provide a microwave upon request. We're sorry that we did not do that here as well. Thank you very much!
