Amongst the vineyards, early. Napa and Sonoma!
Wow…just amazing. Even without grapes growing, the scenery was stunning, the colors vibrant! I was not expecting this. Look at the yellows and oranges, mixed in with a little purple. This photo was taken in the last week of January.
For more photos and information, feel free to visit our blog post on Sonoma and Napa Valley: http://wp.me/p4HwkW-1Js I wanted to start picking these grapes and start eating them during the winery tour in Sonoma county. #roadtrip #Delicious #green Sonoma has been named the happiest place in California. Its central plaza is a good spot to take a leisurely stroll, or perhaps wander through the many shops and sample some wines and cheese. It's hard not to be happy here! I was so lucky to catch the sun at exactly the right moment. It lit up the vineyard perfectly. #roadtrip #green #patterns Must make a stop here if you're ever in Guerneville. Just breathtaking. This is the northernmost Mission in California. It’s incredibly well maintained and park staff are very helpful. There are wonderful historic buildings all throughout downtown Sonoma and most are free. The area has lots of locally owned shops and cafes as well. Worth a visit while in Wine Country.

This church is last of the 21 Spanish Catholic missions and only one built after Mexico's independence from Spain. It is part of the state historic park and on the square, with nearby wine and cheese tastings, cafes and shops. Follow the mission bells on El Camino Real trail and see all of the missions. #Blue #Colorful #WeekendGetaway #Architecture. #roadtrip #StunningStructures For me the #eclipse at @symbiosisgathering , #Oregon was an unexpected, emotional experience. I got choked up and found it hard to keep focus on capturing this extraordinary experience. It happened so fast.
Following totality, when the sun started to reappear, the first notes of a song drifted across the prairie and I lost it. I just sobbed.
After, I packed up my gear without looking at any of the images I captured, needing to set it all aside for a day. Pics will follow, but in the meantime you can witness The Great American Eclipse at www.MarkVogler.com Train Town! This is California's wine country. Wine tasting at Sonoma County Beautiful, quiet gray day in Sonoma. Sonoma Overlook Trail

#WineCountry One of the many background photos I took in Napa Valley, CA at a random winery. Breathtaking path during our hike exploring the beautiful Sedona. Magical corner that makes you dream! Burns Vista Winery Intimate tasting at Hanzell Vineyards. Their Ambassador Vineyard plantings are the oldest Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines that are still producing in N. America. Fantastic Portuguese restaurant just off the main square. We ate on the patio which was lovely, but required the provided heat lamps. The braised tongue (not usually my favorite) was really good, as was the scallop appetizer. The fisherman's stew, fish fillet, pork stuffed w/ olives & figs (pictured) were all delicious. We were too full to consider dessert. Gourmet farmers market.
Downtown Sonoma, CA.
Live music series.
Shown: Heirloom tomatoes and other fruits and flowers. Jazz concert series program and my Willie Nelson doll Nice cafe for breakfast (until 11:30?) and lunch, and a wine bar. The avocado egg toast appetizer and smoked duck breast sandwich were both really good (crusty bread was a little tough for a toddler but tasty, and fine for adults). Kale & sausage salad was pretty good too. The patios - street side, as we'll as in the back- are excellent. If you're into rock climbing and ever find yourself in wine country, these two 30-foot rocks (called Sunset Boulders) offer some great top-roping and bouldering! #climbing #climb #beach #sonoma #winecountry #rockclimbing This side of the road restaurant is right on the way to Sonoma Sate. It may not look like much but after over 1.5 years of driving by it, last week I finally stopped in for a bite whilst on my way home. Highly recommended and totally with a trip! Sonoma, California Good morning from #Sonoma! #WineWednesday #SonomaStrong View from wineries. Redwood Preserve in Guerneville. So worth it. Buena Vista Winery #restaurant
I fell in love with this Sonoma gem. It has that laid back diner feel with a little extra retro thrown in for good measure. MUST TRY their Chicken & Waffles with a side of Cornbread with Honey. #summereats - Grilled orange pepper & onion on hamburger patty with avocado & tomato on a bed of greens drizzles with balsamic and grated pecorino cheese paired with a French rosé (#allday) #sonomaliving O.M.G! A #gay #penguin camp @symbiosisgathering #Oregon #eclipse - I've found my colony at #dirtyicecrew in #seattle! I'd rather be going to Town.
@mcmurdostation , #Antarctica with @oceanwideexpeditions Fantastic photos by Lisa Kristine in her gallery. Right off the main square. Fabulous vineyard. Great for tasting and buying. Besides shops, restaurants and wine tastings, see historic downtown and plaza, including this statue of first time bear flag raised in CA. Sharing the best advice I've ever gotten. @symbiosisgathering #oregon #eclipse #celebrateeverything Bartholomew Park- Sonoma, CA Cool metal sculpture on Broadway St in Sonoma While exploring historic downtown Sonoma, stop in for wine tasting at this family owned winery of good but inexpensive red and white wines. While exploring historic downtown Sonoma, stop in here for wine tasting of small production wineries without tasting rooms and have the staff help you find the perfect wine. When exploring historic downtown Sonoma and you get a little hot, come in for Peaches and cream or any of their other good homemade ice creams. One week from today, it's ON! #LGBTQ wine lovers are traveling from across North America to Sonoma (and rumor has it one couple is coming all the way from Dubai!) to get Out In The Vineyard at Gay Wine Weekend 2017!
