The stay was perfect and the staff was very friendly. The only issue was that the hotel was mid remodel so they were operating the front desk out of a makeshift empty room with folding tables. The continental breakfast was also served in said room but they made do with what they had. The hotel will be very nice when the remodel is finished. Room was clean and the bathroom sink area was very nice and spacious.

From the outside, the El Dorado looks like a California stagecoach inn from the Gold Rush days. On the inside it is sleek, contemporary and comfortable. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the rooms are handsomely appointed. If you choose a room with a balcony overlooking the street, you'll get some street noise, but for me that was more than offset by being able to step through the French doors, watch the action around the Square or just bask in the California spring weather. The El Dorado Kitchen, an award-winning restaurant adjoining the lobby has a creative and delicious menu, an excellent locally sourced wine list, and it's the place to be in the evening for attractive young professionals up from Silicon Valley or San Fran. Definitely the place to stay in Sonoma.

The clerk at the front desk was very accommodating and helpful getting our wine purchases packaged and shipped home. The water pressure is strong, like a water pik. Short walk to dining and visitor center.

Lots of amenities and they were pet friendly for an extra $50/night. The carpet in the room had seen better days and the hotel overall seemed like it was going to need renovations soon. Friendly staff, great brunch.

Me and my mom have always wanted to stay here. It fits well with the historic railroad square district it is nestled in. Very close to aromas coffee house, flying goat, antique shops and award winning restaurants like jack and tony and jacksons. Very quaint and beautiful.

As soon as you arrive, you are greeted in a friendly way with several smiles. When we checked in there was a little station set up for happy hour with a representative from a nearby winery, called Kokomo and he recommended some restaurants, and things to do in the area. We visited his winery the next day and fell in love with it. The rooms at the hotel are clean and spacious, there is a small gym which I used, and the restaurant is more traditional but excellent service and food. We had such a happy stay at this hotel and the energy is very positive amongst the hotel staff. We look forward to returning!

Our hotel room was very nicely appointed, had great amenities and the grounds had a lot to offer. The only criticizim I can give is about the bed. We have a very comfy bed and this one was a little worn out for me. We ordered room service breakfast that was exactly on time, hot and delicious. We will have to try the restaurant next time, we arrived too late.
