Check in went well and front desk staff accommodated us by changing room to first floor as two of our party had impaired walking.

The heater was old and very loud. The refrigerator for the minibar was also loud too. I hope they upgrade the rooms.

Nice enough, but not worth the cost.

Too many add-on charges. $40/ person to sit in a hot tub???!!! Although the staff was great and apologetic, the noise from the drunken fire pit crowd was horrible. Nice enough place, but next time we will stay closer to town and somewhere you don't have to pay extra for basics.

It's the small stuff

Pros: The gym and yoga classes with wonderful instructors. Floating in the pool afterwards was delightful. Very nice staff.
Cons: Some deferred maintenance to the room.
Location: We enjoyed the great restaurants in the area. Our top 3 are El Melinia, Harvest Moon and Girl and the Fig.
The Fairmont property is very nice. The room is clean but lack some repairs. There were some crack tiles in the walkway of our bathroom with the carpet peeling off. This is something I would normally see in a cheap motel. Our heater got fixed after a night with no sleep and a second technician finally figured out the problem. The room has a low hum that got louder by night 3. That say, the workout area and the Yoga classes were WONDERFUL!

Great stay, sparkling wine on arrival, room was a few minutes late but that was an unexpected bonus as we got free drinks at the bar and it was only 10 minutes late and our bags were in our room when we got there plus a complimentary bottle of wine! Staff were great. Want to go back

Nice place with very disappointing policies

Pros: beautiful facility
Cons: change the silly policies..
Location: you need a car.. but get penalized for having one..!
The Sonoma Mission is a nice place if you get a good deal. It is a bit far from the downtown area so you do need a car.. and if you have a car.. be ready for a ridiculous $35 per day parking fee!!! Seriously? also be ready for an additional $15 per day for Wifi! Seriously?? also.. bring water..! or expect to pay another $9 per bottle as NONE is provided in the rooms! Seriously? The staff is nice, but the "Nickel and Dime" policies is a real turn off to me.. will not be back until this changes.. We stayed at many places in the area over 2 weeks.. and tjis was the ONLY place that charged for parking, water and WiFi.. too many choices to put up with this IMO..

Smoke permitting from fireplaces into rooms

Windows don't close properly and outside smoke and noise permiate throughout the room. It is time to clean up the air and stop the needless pollution of the air and guest suites!!

Comfortable, clean, quiet

I went here for a one-night getaway. The spa was the main draw of this resort, but I also loved the junior suite, the very excellent staff and service, the concierge, and the restaurant. I would highly recommend this place to a friend or colleague, and I would definitely come here again.
