The parador is on a hilltop overlooking the town. Parking is outdoors, around the hotel. There is a 15-20 minute walk into town. We had a junior suite, which was large and comfortable. Internet connection was intermittantly slow, but usable. Dinner in hotel dining room was good - very pleasant room with views, good service.

A new place but we were effectively away from it!
The hotel's remote location at the top of a steepish hill does afford good views, but especially when dark effectively prevents leaving the hotel for alternatives to eat in evening. Had we been there a third night that probably would have become an issue. In the hotel there are two options - it's in Spain so restaurant not before 08:30PM - was of a good standard well served. How many of those meals do you want in a row – only alternative is a snack in the hotel bar, which was not good – noisy, so (when they could be bothered to serve us - it was busy, but understaffed) they misheard our order. What was delivered was frankly disappointing for the price. We found the walk down to town was not straightforward as should be - possible poor directions – a bit lost in translation perhaps and given works in hotel grounds - we finished up some way from where we thought we were going to be. Coming back in evening much the same problem. It’s a Parador so of course room clean, spacious and comfortable - two comfortable chairs provided, air conditioning good. Shower door arrangement a bit awkward.

Queremos aclarar que estas obras no están relacionadas con el Parador de Soria, sino que son una iniciativa independiente que busca preservar y embellecer nuestro valioso patrimonio histórico. La muralla medieval es un testimonio tangible de nuestro pasado, un símbolo de nuestra historia y una parte integral de la identidad de nuestra ciudad. Sin embargo, con el paso del tiempo, ha sufrido daños y deterioro, lo cual requiere de una intervención para su restauración y conservación.

Nice Stay!
We had excellent service, from beginning to end. The hotel room was large and clean with a well appointed bathroom. Very eco friendly. We didnt opt for the buffet breakfast and were unable to book dinner there due to the restaurant's popularity. We would definitely stay there again!

Staff extremely friendly and helpful! The Parador itself is amazing surrounded by nature and traditional daily life of Soria. All around history and the exceptional river Duero and wines. Beautiful walking trails and unique Ermita San Saturno. Convenient and easy walk to town for fine dining.

The best as are all the Paradores. Missing the lovely towelling robes but understand the necessity in the current climate.

The breakfast could have been better organised. They held everyone back to their allotted time which meant around 20/25 people descending on the buffet at the same time and having to wait ages for tea and coffee. Otherwise, everything about our stay was excellent. Reception staff really pleasant and helpful.

Hill-top beauty
Beautifully located hill-top Parador with stunning views of the Duero river and the valley beyond. Ask for the river view. Lovely tree covered walking near the Parador around the top of the hill. Eat in the dining room. Excellent service and food.

Amazing location on a hill in a park. Very spacious room with 2 Queen beds and an enclosed balcony with table and chairs with large windows with views over town /river/snow capped mountains and valleys. Excellent breakfast. Steep road up with several hairpin bends.

The staff was very friendly and sensitive to our need. The hotel is beautifully situated in parklike setting. Room very comfortable and clean. Overall thumbs up. Excellent. Only negative for us was that kitchen closed from 4 - 8:30pm. We appreciate the Spanish custom. However, this hotel is not close to eateries or stores. It would have been nice if they had had some tapas, pre-made sandiwiches available to tide the traveler over. All you could get was a bowl of potato chips. When we were finally served food, the soup was luke warm and the meat dish totally unremarkable. Breakfast the next day was $16 EU each. Not a bad selection of food but overpriced and again not equal to expectations.

Great views.
Great location with superb views of surrounding countryside. First time in a Parador so didn't know what to expect. Everything was comfortable and clean but no more than I would expect from a normal 4 star hotel. Reception staff were helpful in describing the best route to the city centre. The evening meal was a combination of traditional Spanish/experimental to the point of slightly weird. Breakfast was extensive and well presented. To sum up - As a stopover to break up our journey the hotel was a treat but I wouldn't say it was a destination choice.

Hotel is in a great setting
The hotel is a great setting located in a park at the top of a hill and it's about a 15 walk down into the main bar and restaurant area. We were directed to walk down some steps to the right of the hotel, which we found not to be too steep. Our room was large, clean and comfortable and had an enclosed balcony with views of the surrounding area. Breakfast was very good, with a varied selection....although at 15 euros each, we thought it was very expensive (we weren't aware of the cost until we checked out). Parking was free and was just below the hotel.

Always good service in a parador - the building is a little too modern for our taste and the evening meal was a mix of very good and less so. Breakfast was excellent. The situation and views are special and the staff very attentive and skilled

Superb Parador with great views
Spent 2 nights here in November. Modern building on site of old castle, most rooms have superb views of the river or the town. Staff excellent, rooms big & well equipped, restaurant very good. Plenty of onsite free parking. Will definitely go back!

Amazing views and sorroundings
Amazing views. The walk up to the hotel was enjoyable. The nearby National Park Sierra de Cebollera was worth a couple of hikes. The path along the Duero River towards the "Ermita de San Saturio" was wonderful.

Good hotel in a lovely setting
A lovely hilltop location set in a beautiful park with views over the river and surrounds. Large comfortable rooms and a very good breakfast with lots of choice. Good restaurant and very friendly and helpful staff.

Strange place, with nice food and great views
The hotel is set a little way out of town, and sits high above Soria on a hill. The road up there is steep and twisty, and it would be quite a hike to walk it. The hotel is a strange place. It looks like a 90's office block - nice enough, but there is a feeling of a new jersey business park. Inside there is a mix of styles. The building itself is modern, light and bright. The rooms have floor to ceiling glass. Some rooms look out over a park, that once held the castle, and is now wooded, while others look out over a steep sided valley. But the rooms themselves are decorated in a 1970s style that seems at odds with the modern Parador. Its OK, just a bit weird. Food in the restaurant was lovely, and not crazy expensive. The staff were great - super friendly and ultra competent. I will go back.

Beautiful hotel in stunning surroundings
Having never stayed in a Parador hotel before we found it met all our expectations. Very comfortable room with outstanding views to the town and beyond. The service was impeccable and the food sublime. Very friendly welcome in excellent English put our Spanish to shame. Our bicycles were found a room with no bother, not always the case in hotels. The only small negative but common in all the Spanish hotels we have stayed in, was that there were no hot drinks and kettle provided. A must in our view.

A modern Parador
Fantastic views over the city and countryside. All you would expect from a Parador but modern. Some excellent local "Ribera del Duero" wines served in the restaurant.

Visit to Soria, Spain
Overnight stay in between Pamplona and Madrid, last step of this year tour of Northern Spain. Soria is a city up in the central Spanish Plateau in a beatiful country with very good roads and highway linking to Madrid and other important cities. The hotel is a great facility located at the top of a hill dominating the entire valley of the Duero river and the city. Staff is correct and helpful. The restaurant offers local fare with great fresh products coming from the farm and the sea.

We were only staying for one night's dinner, bed and breakfast so this is hardly a comprehensive review. However, our rooms were great with beautiful bathrooms, dinner of the high quality we expected and the breakfast offered a vast choice.

Mid Spain stop
The hotel is not very easy to find but follow the sign posts do not rely on sat nav. The hotel is very comfortable and has amazing views well worth stopping to have a walk around. This is the second time we have stopped at this hotel and we were not disappointed. The first time we stayed we strolled down to the town which is quite interesting.

We stayed for 2 nights. Views from every room are fantastic- set high up on a hill.We had an enclosed balcony + table & chairs. Breakfast very good- worth the 15e. Rooms large, with lobby area + extra door, so no noise.Big bathroom well fitted + in green marble. Staff all polite & friendly.

Muy tranquilo, muy buenas vistas. El baño algo anticuado pero las dimensiones de la habitación, baño y terraza lo compensa. La parte negativa es que está aislado por lo que tienes que desayunar alli, no hay nada cerca. El desayuno son 19 €l. Pero te dan la oportunidad de desayunar a la carta, pagas lo que consumes. Eso me parece bien porque yo en el desayuno no acostumbro a comer mucho....
