The Best Hotel on Our Long TripPosted Nov 5, 2015
Pros: Staff, breakfast, room, garden, close proximity to Piazza Tasso and so much of Sorrento. Everyone friendly and cheerful, we really felt welcome.
Cons: How about a box of kleenex? Seems like such a little thing, but I have sinus problems!
Location: Marina Piccola, Marina Grande, restaurants, shopping for those folks at home who expect souvenirs, Positano, boat to Capri, seeing Vesuvius, so much!
From first day to last we enjoyed every aspect of this hotel. We will return next year if we visit Sorrento. The staff was efficient, friendly, and very accommodating. They took care of parking our rental car and bringing it out when we needed it. They helped with luggage, gave us direx to places we wanted to tour, and recommended restaurants. They were always cheerful, especially the singing waiter at breakfast every morning. The breakfast was generous and delicious. Coffee made to order, tasty pastries and breads, fruit, juice and all the accompaniments one would want. And the setting is beautiful. The entire hotel is lovely, exquisitely maintained, inside and out, and we loved the bountiful citrus trees in the garden, the sparkling clean pool and patio. There was not one glitch. We were a bit disappointed not to have a view room with balcony, but then again, we were so close to the dining room and to the garden, it worked out perfectly. Thanks to the management for a lovely five-night stay! Also glad to have a fridge in room.

Pros: Location, Cleanliness, Facilities, Spacious rooms
Location: Located in the very centre of Sorrento, walking distance to bus, train and ferry
Hotel was excellent, we were able to walk to bus, train and ferry as well into the heart of Sorrento. Despite being right in the centre, the hotel was very quiet and peaceful. Hotel was very clean, rooms very nice

Central in SorrentoPosted Oct 22, 2015
Pros: The cleanliness and high quality decorations in all areas EXCEPT the breakfast room which really needs improvment with the decor brought into 21st C
Cons: The breakfast area and the preparation of some food items
Location: Central in Sorrento with the old town and the more modern development very accessible. Shopping opportunitues galore!
Desk staff very helpful in every respect. Room preparation excellent. Duty porter is a "jack of all trades"; he even repaired my reading glasses which had lost a tiny screw! We were directed to our room which had a noisy aspect from the street; then two more rooms were offered, so why didn't they say at the start "We have 3 rooms - would you like to see them?". At breakfast, eggs are offered in three ways - fried and boiled and scrambled. However the boiled are done for 7 mins. according to the notice so are VERY hard boiled; the fried eggs are it seems cooked in a pan althogether so one has perhaps 6 eggs all joined together and from the look of them and their smell, they were fried for the 0700 start of breakfast so all yokes are hard. We enquired about this and the desk told us you could order a freshly-fried egg but why have so many eggs been cooked in the way outlined above? Wastage of such eggs must be high? In the main the scrambled egg turned out to be the only attractive choice. On the other hand, there was a large oval table full of very attractive cakes and pastries but who wants such sweet items at 0700 onwards? Juices, cereals, breads of various sorts, meats, cheeses and fresh fruit were all available and very nice. Mario(?) the chief waiter was very welcoming, asking where we were off to that day and very vocal about the weather etc. and maintained this approach every breakfast we took there.

Great locationPosted Oct 3, 2015
Pros: The location
Cons: Sound proof the rooms and update.
Location: Location was just off the main square and you can walk to everything
This hotel was in a great location, just minutes from the square. The room was clean, comfortable but need updating. It was lacking some amenities such as , no coffee maker, no USB port for charging phones. The breakfast buffet was good. The hotel staff was pleasant.
