Basic hotel with fantastic view over Bay of Naples
We had a pleasant stay here in October 2018. The hotel has an incredible view from the lobby as well as from the sea view room we booked. The room was clean but fairly basic. The hotel is accessible from the fifth floor of the building which can be reached by a rather charming and old style lift (beware its quite small). The hotel staff were helpful, although unfortunately the WiFi was down when we visited due to telephone company issues. The hotel staff also arranged an airport shuttle for us which was very convenient. The best thing about this hotel is the location. Along with the sea views from certain rooms, across the road from the hotel are benches for you to sit and enjoy the view as well as Villa Fondi. Piano station (if you are travelling to Pompeii for example by train) is about ten minutes walk away. Only thing to be aware of, if this is important to you, is that the hotel doesn't have any ironing facilities. All in all, the sea view from our stay made it worthwhile as well as the friendly and helpful staff. Thank you!

As when you have booked on our site we are quite clear that we are not in Sorrento but in Piano di Sorrento and then Sorrento is far 3 km from our hotel. Average, but overpriced.
Our room only had a partial sea view whenwe paid for a full view, the bed was hard and uncomfortable and the staff was loudly cleaning other rooms near us early in the morning. Parking near the hotel for free was a bonus.

Ok but small room not very nice but clean
Staff was very helpful but the rooms and hotel look a bit old/fashioned. Clean though and close to the port and beach.

The staff were rude and the breakfast was appalling, I could have built a house with the croissants they were that hard. The only good thing about this place was the view! Be aware it's on the 5th floor and parking is down the street, which they don't tell you until you've arrived and checked in!!

Besutiful views, uncomfortable beds
The views from this hotel are beautiful. Make sure you get a sea view room to make the most of this. Very basic, but clean hotel, ideal if you are traveling around the area and don't mind sleeping in a rock hard bed. Average breakfast provided, where we only saw 2 other people for the whole of our stay. Staff were quite abrupt when we arrived, but were helpful calling us a taxi each evening. The hotel reception can provide a hairdryer upon request, but do not have irons. Would not stay again unfortunately.

Sorry that she did not like our sommier could have communicated to us we would have made her bed more comfortable, unfortunately the customers are not all the same, some prefer the soft bed some hard one. A really lovely hotel in Piano di Sorrento
The hotel is in a fantastic location, overlooking the sea and the room was perfect with two balconies. The staff are very welcoming, helpful and friendly. It is our second visit to Hotel Cosmomare and we are already planning our next visit.

The hidden joy
Great hotel in a remarkable place overlooking the bay of Naples I feel that is in a much better position than actually in Sorrento as is quieter in easy walking distance to swimming station with travel to most popular4 destinations and not swamped with tourists The hotel served a great breakfast with great staff would greatly recommend staying there.Also sent a timetable for bus train and hire cars with even the cost from Naples Tell me another hotel that would do that? Keep up the good work and i wish a 100% occupancy you certainly deserve it

Basic but nice
The hotel is on the 5th floor above apartments but not once did we hear or see a neighbour. The lift is tiny however you can use the stairs. We were at a wedding at Villa Fondi which we crossed the road to get to it so it was ideal. Staff were very helpful, the room was basic but suited our needs. The view is amazing. My only annoyance and its not the hotels fault, is that i asked them to book a taxi for us to go into Sorrento to meet family which cost us €35 for less than 4km, apparantly this is the going rate, needless to say, we walked back to the hotel that night.

Small but nice and helpful staff
Very nice views from the hotel but I think it should be called bed and breakfast because no evening meals are provided or lunch -packed or otherwise.Breakfast is buffet style plenty cakes/yoghurts/cereals/boiled egg and ham/cheese for rolls.The overall appearance is modern and nice bathroom! No cracked tiles and lovely bathroom towels! From the outside you think the hotel is bigger but it is only on top 2 floors so you have to get up there on the lift which holds only 2 people or go up the stairs which there are about 90 to reception.There is a small bar in hotel and the breakfast area and lounge ard more of less in the same vicinity. I think during day or eve if small snacks such as crisps nuts or sausage rolls or cake could be served at the bar. The train station is walking distance so we used it to go to Sorrento and pompey. Very easy to purchase tickets and just 2 platforms. staff at the hotel very nice and helpful.

NOT A FAN
AVOID THIS HOTEL. First of all, the hotel is not located in Sorrento, but 2 towns over--a 15 min drive. They do offer a shuttle to Sorrento (twice in the morning and twice at night) but you have to pay extra for that. The hotel's actual location is a dead zone. No people, no shops, no fun. Don't even bother getting off the train here. The hotel is on the fifth floor and the elevator can only hold one person + one piece of luggage at a time. The staff was very unfriendly. Every time I asked for help with something, they acted like it was such a bother. (The breakfast staff was way more friendly, it should be noted). The bed was too hard and the shower was TINY. There were no mini-fridges in the room--a huge problem for people like me, who have dietary restrictions. The Wi-Fi was USELESS. I'd say it worked, on average, 3% of the time. And that's being generous. There's even a sign at reception apologizing for the bad internet and putting the blame on the area, which I don't buy.

We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights. Perfect location if you want to get away from the overly touristic Sorrento. Beaches 5 min away from the beach, close to the train station yet still walkable to Sorrento. The breakfast was very nice and the hotel staff was very helpful.

At BEST it is a 3 star hotel by North American standards. Majority of hotel staff were terribly rude and unaccomodating. Asked for fresh towels one night and they flat out refused despite there being a stack of clean towels visible in the supply closet behind them. Wifi does not work in the actual rooms, only in the lobby and breakfast area. Several nights there was loud music playing until 2am at a nearby bar that kept us up. I would not recommend this hotel as there are so many other good options in the area.

OK hotel good location.
Hotel was clean, certainly not a 4 rated hotel as I thought. The continental breakfast was good but was only available for 1 hour. The day staff was pleasant, the night staff however was not. Maybe she was having a bad night. The next morning she almost smiled.

The staff were lovely and informative, the hotel clean and with beautiful views. Only downfall would be that the beds were quite hard, but that's a personal preference. Shower was very powerful. Great experience all round

Beautiful location in the quiet town of Piano di Sorrento. A 10-minute walk from the Circumvesuviana train station, with lovely beaches and delicious gelato just steps away. Amazing balcony off the room, and huge spacious rooms. Breakfast is served overlooking the Bay of Naples, which was spectacular. Only complaint was that one of the hotel staff was a bit rude, though everyone else we encountered was lovely.

The hotel was fairly nice, but not a 4 star hotel. The price was a little too high compared to souroundng hotels. There is a fee for using their beach, which it's not included with the price of your hotel. For a family of four, they charge 60 Euros/day to use their beach. It's less than a block away from the train station, so it's a very convenient location. The complementary breakfeast is light, but that is common for European hotels. Some of the staff were very freindly and willing to help, while others were rude. I would not recomend this hotels to my friends.

Basic, clean hotel. Not within walking distance of Sorrento but stunning views in area. Poor air con in room. It's controlled from reception and goes off in the middle of the night. Lowest temp we had on it was 18 c which wasnt cool enough. Room with balcony has excellent views. Basic breakfast, friendly night porter. Wifi does not work in the rooms. Only works at reception.

Hotel Cosmomare, amazing view!
The newly refurbished hotel is on the 5th floor of an apartment block on a cliff overlooking the sea with an amazing view to the islands. You can watch the cruise ships in the bay below as you eat cornflakes. We were the only guests (it was October), so the calm was welcome after a day in the chaos of Naples an hour away by train. The centre of town with its restaurants and the station are a 10 minute walk away from the bay.The rooms were clean and the shower hot,its a good, cheap friendly hotel.

Nice friendly hotel
Hotel is located on top floor of appartment block, and this gives you excellent views over the Bay of Naples including Sorrento and Vesuvius. Ask for sea view room. Hotel has secure parking and is also close to the station, so you have the choice of either using your own transport or public transport.

I was a bit surprised by the hotel’s location – 5th floor of an apartment building. But when the elevator opened, we walked into a new and very modern lobby with expansive windows overlooking the water. Our room was also very modern with a large bed and even larger shower! After spending several days in Rome in tiny rooms, this hotel was a wonderful change. The hotel is located just outside of the main tourist part of town, but walking distance to shops and restaurants. The hotel is on a cliff overlooking the Sorrento coast, so you have direct access to the beach and a marina. It was warm enough to go swimming in October! The hotel is run by a wonderful family who is friendly, very helpful and made us feel extremely welcome. Despite the fact that I spoke little Italian, they had a good understanding of English and were more than able to help with any of my inquiries.

Overprized hotel 6km outside Sorrento
Hotel was located 6km outside Sorrento, not surrounded near any restaurants or shops. To access the hotel & reception you have to walk 5 flights of stairs up which was annoying. The rooms were low quality & some lady in the reception told us we couldnt bring food or snacks into the room. Over all, over priced hotel considered it had no freshness, lack of working elevator & was not near any restaurants/shops.
