El hotel esta muy bien ubicado, cerca del centro y en un lugar muy tranquilo . El personal muy cordial, excelente el desayuno y el servicio del restaurante con unas vistas preciosas! Muy buena relación precio-calidad.

Hidden gem

Posted Aug 17, 2015
We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. Whilst the location may be high up for some, we relished the stunning views of Sorrento over breakfast and drinks. The hotel has lovely, peaceful grounds and lots of places to sit and chill, including an area with hammocks that we loved. The rooms are immaculately clean and the staff are so helpful and friendly, nothing we asked was too much trouble. The walk down to the centre of Sorrento was fine but some people may find the return journey up the hill (a short cut, not on the road) a little steep. We are both 30. We would highly recommend the hotel to anyone. Thank you for our very enjoyable stay!

Great place to relax

Posted Aug 9, 2015
Pros: Pool
Cons: Variety on the menu for lunch and dinner. Better antipasta (disappointing by Italian standards). Pasta dishes on the other hand were lovely.
Location: Sorrento a short walk downhill. Everything you could need here - shops, restaurants, train station, tours to Pompeii, Vesuvius, Capri etc etc.
Hotel with character, gorgeous view (we could see mt Vesuvius). Rooms simple, clean and comfy. Lovely quiet pool with lots of loungers, huge terrace where the restaurant is overlooking the sea (and Vesuvius) and lots of other places to sit out. Well away from bustle and touristy centre of Sorrento but walkable, downhill to town, steep walk back up after (10mins down). Food good, some lovely pasta dishes especially, but not much variety and the anti pasta is disappointing. would highly recommend as a place to stay, especially if you want a few days chilling by a nice pool.

Underbart hotell med utsikt!

Posted Aug 4, 2015
Pros: Allt!

Absolutely idyllic hotel!

Posted Aug 3, 2015
Pros: The staff, views, pool and the food!
Cons: The rooms could be updated.
Location: Great location, 10 mins walk into Sorrento - lots of great restaurants and a great spot for doing day trips to Pompeii and Capri.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel La Badia. All the hotel staff are so friendly and really made our stay special. Our room was simple but very clean and we had the most beautiful view of the Amalfi Coast and Mount Vesuvius from our window. We also had outside space which was great for reading on. The swimming pool area is lovely and a great way to spend an afternoon. We thought the food was great - very tasty and so reasonable. Their house white wine was only 3 euros and was delicious! The hotel is up in the hills but it's only a short walk to the heart of Sorrento - it is uphill all the way back but it's a great work out for working off all the gelato we had!

Nice place and good facilities

Posted Jul 26, 2011 on Hotels
This did pretty much everything we wanted it to do, and did it well. The room was very nice, spacious and clean; the staff were friendly, helpful and spoke good English; and the hotel's pool and restaurant were great. A warning though: it is up a bit of a hill which is fine to walk up (and very fine to walk down), but it's probably best not to do with suitcases. However this was our biggest issue with our stay: the buses really don't work in Sorrento; just pay for a taxi if you are travelling from the station - it's worth it! Overall, except with the hassle of getting there, it's a really nice place to relax.
