Dino and his staff make sure you have everything you need. Is willing to do extra to help. We had a great experience at his hotel and the view of Sorrento is fabulous.

We loved our stay at Il Nido. We went in early October, and the hotel was very quiet. Our ocean-view room (#118) was spotlessly clean, as was the hotel in general. The room was also very large by european standards, which was a bonus. I'm not sure if this is true of all of their ocean-view rooms, but ours had a spectacular view of the Bay of Naples, with Mount Vesuvious clearly visible across the bay. A nice semi-private balcony made it a nice place to just relax and watch the boats on the bay. All of the staff were very welcoming, helpful, and hard-working. A special thanks goes out to Dino, who was a tremendous help in getting us to the bus station the morning of our departure. The breakfast buffet was as expected, with a relatively large selection of morning fare. The single hotel dinner meal that we ate at the hotel was very good. The shuttle bus that runs in the morning and late afternoon/evening was very helpful in getting us into town and then back up to the hotel. You wouldn't want to walk it, since it's several miles on a winding/narrow/uphill road. If we return to Sorrento, we will stay at this hotel again!

The hotel has a beautiful view and the hosts are very accommodating. The rooms are very clean with a lovely view of Mt Vesuvius from our balcony. A little further out from Sorrento town but there is a shuttle bus that is available throughout the day and night. Breakfast was very good and so was dinner.

Il Nido was a perfect place to stay in Sorrento. The beds were very comfortable, and our room were very clean. The free breakfast had a variety of choices, and the restaurant was a wonderful place to dine with excellent food and good service. The view from our bedroom balcony, as well as the dining area, was breathtaking. Gorgeous view of the bay, Mr Vesuvius, Pompeii and Naples. Gianni was a fantastic host. He helped us book tours and transportation to the locations. He was always available for questions or guidance. I highly recommend staying at Il Nido!

The hotel is not close to the main area but that’s what makes it relaxing with an incredible view. The shuttle is available to take you to the center of town and back. The owner was helpful and even drove us to town when our taxi cancelled.

If you arrive at the Sorrento train station make your way to Porta Pasano Nuova. Here, you can find a free shuttle bus to Il Nido (hotel name is on the side of the bus). Il Nido is in the hills high above Sorrento which lends to beautiful views. The owner Dino and his staff are wonderful. The morning breakfast was robust which included eggs, bacon, potatoes, fresh fruits, lots of fabulous pastries and much more. We stayed in room 126. This room has great views of Sorrento and Mt. Vesuvius. There are a few details that could make this room even better. Finer quality pillows and a mattress topper could improve the bed comfort. In the shower, a shelf for toiletries would be more convenient than putting them close to the shower floor. A couple of hooks on back of the door would have been nice to hang wet towels on. We really enjoyed our stay here and definitely recommend this hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the IL Nido hotel in Sorrento, and I must say it was an incredible experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Their friendly and helpful attitudes made me feel right at home. One of the highlights of this hotel is the stunning view. The panoramic views of the Bay of Naples from the hotel's terrace are absolutely breathtaking. I could have spent hours just sitting there and taking in the view. The rooms were also immaculate, and it was clear that the hotel takes pride in cleanliness. The attention to detail was impressive, and I appreciated the little touches that made the room feel extra special. But the real standout for me was the hotel's restaurant. The Italian food was nothing short of exceptional. It was hands down the best meal I had on my two-week trip to Italy. The quality of the ingredients, the preparation, and the presentation were all top-notch. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Sorrento to make sure they dine at this restaurant. Overall, I would give IL Nido hotel a five-star rating without hesitation. The helpful staff, beautiful view, clean rooms, and outstanding restaurant all made for an unforgettable experience. I can't wait to come back and visit again!

We drove here from RoMe. Google maps got the location wrong 4 times - luckily I saw a person that helped me. The roads here are very narrow and many blind curves with cars parked on side of road. Hotel is up past Il Borgo pizza place and is on the left side. This hotel has awesome views of the Bay of Naples. Good food. ( Had dinner here 3X) Nice people and hard working. But the rooms are mediocre. The beds are hard. No pictures on walls and the soap and lotions are in packets like at a hostel. If it wasn’t for the view and the food and we were not in room all day we would have moved. They do have a shuttle to town every hour which is necessary and appreciated because of the curvy roads. They have an elevator too but our floor on the 1st floor was under the main dining room and is noisy early in AM and when they had a wedding there. Floors I’m dining room are Beautiful and the included breakfast is very good - buffet style with eggs/ pastries - yummy coffee. Nice balcony with the view to sit and eat too. This place could be a gem but it needs upgrades or at the least better beds. It’s a 3.5 because of the breakfast, free parking lot, Shuttle and elevator amenities but the beds and the bathroom amenities and lack of decor make it a 3. Would pay more for better decor.

Great place to stay in Sorrento. Staff are really pleasant, room was lovely although we didn’t have a view - unavoidable for hotels built into a hill but it was great value. Fantastic to have breakfast included. Regular shuttle bus into central Sorrento included in the price and the drivers are really welcoming. Would definitely stay here again if we visited Sorrento again.

This Amazing boutique hotel is located above the town of Sorrento and bay of Naples. The views from our hotel room and property are Fantastic. The free breakfast was outstanding. The staff (owners?) we’re helpful, caring and patient - exceptional. There was a shuttle to and from the center of Sorrento - so you can drink a bottle of wine with dinner in town or just stay at the property as they have a superb menu. I wish we could have spent a couple weeks at this special boutique hotel and explore the area more.

It is a beautiful hotel and the rooms have all been recently refurbished. The views are breathtaking. The parking is free. There is an hotel bus service to town which is very handy. Would go again. Only note: restaurant service and menu could be better. Un bellissimo hotel. Le stanze sono state tutte rifatee da poco. La vista e' eccezionale. Il parcheggio e' gratis. C'e' un servizio navetta per Sorrento che e' comodissimo. L'unica nota: il servizio e menu ristorante potrebbe essere meglio.

This was a great find. Everyone there was so kind and helpful. They all spoke more English than we did Italian and it was easy to communicate. I wasn’t crazy about the bed and the pillows but the rest of the group seemed fine with them.

Heaven on earth
This is what a hotel should be like. Giani, the manager the manager sees no problems, only solutions. The room with a million dollar view. The breakfast where they squeeze the fresh oranges right into your glass. Everything was perfect. I will come back and spend more time in this heaven on earth.

The staff here was amazing!! They are dedicated to providing a complete and pleasant experience and were very helpful with information about local services and locations. We thank everyone wholeheartedly. The view was also one of the best in this area; high enough for a complete view of the bay and close enough to travel to town and back easily.
