We have just returned from a short stay at L'Ancore, and I can honestly say it is one of the best places we have ever stayed! Nothing is too much trouble for the staff; spotlessly clean and an excellent breakfast. Guests can use the facilities at the neighbouring, larger, hotel which offers a wellness spa, pool, private beach and outstanding views of Vesuvius. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

It was a clean and quaint hotel about 8 minutes from Vico Equense. Nice view of marina and balcony door was sound proof. The only so so part was the mattress and pillows. Not super comfy.

Mediocre Hotel with no Management
We had an excellent check in with Giuila at the hotel - she was the best part of our stay, very friendly and helpful. Overall I will give this hotel a B+. It’s a nice boutique hotel in the port area, but comes with very loud noises till 11pm, and the quiet downs after that. The hotel is far from Sorrento (15 min shuttle and 20 min train ride) or Positano ( by taxi 1.5hrs and 140 Euros) , so make sure you’re looking at that. The hotel beach as advertised is in the sister property right next door, and very busy as they allow paid visitors as well — very rocky beach. We had a terrible experience with the shuttle pick up from the train station. The shuttle is complimentary and it picks you up at a schedule. We asked to be picked up at 7:30pm and the shuttle driver never showed up and we were left stranded for an hour and half with no help! We called the hotel and at first the receptionist said the shuttle was delayed and will be coming, after calling again they said it left on time and we missed it - which was a complete lie. After calling again for some level of help and asking for a manager, the sister property receptionist Geinoma (wrong spelling maybe) was rude and not very helpful. I asked for a taxi to pick us as we had a long trip, no help !! I asked to speak to a manager in the morning — no call, nothing. I would definitely not be staying here again, and don’t recommend it for the location to see Amalfi Coast or having a pleasant stay.

My Stay at Vico Equence
This hotel, was the highlight hotel of my tour of southern Italy. A beautiful building, across the street from the bay of Naples with an amazing view of the harbor and Mt Vesuvius beyond. What I liked is that it’s also across the street from the ferry which can take you to Sorrento, Positano and Almafi -which is much better than battling traffic and buses. The hotel is not walking distance from the train station, but they have a free shuttle service every hour or so. The buffet style breakfast was great! Id definitely love to return soon!

Katerina at the front desk made this hotel one of our favorite stays. She was very nice, helpful, and a joy to have conversation with. Our rooms were bright and clean, the breakfast had a lot of verity and parking was easy.

We visited for 2 nights in off season in December. This hotel has a fantastic view with balconies. The hotel is updates with beautiful tile work and lots of character. They offer a fantastic Included breakfast. Our room was large. The shower was a bit small but workable. The only thing that kept us from offering 5 stars is they need to add a mattress cushion cover or new mattresses. The bed was way too firm and not very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall positive experience and we recomend.

The staff were so helpful. The hotel was located in a lovely port where we were able to watch the sunset each night from our balcony. Our room, number 1, was smaller then first excpected but it was just right for how often we were actually in it. Bathroom was very spacious and balcony was perfect. Thank you for having us.

Lovely hotel, lovely staff, breakfasts were really good, other meals in the attached restaurant were reasonably priced. We booked a ferry to visit Capri and they were happy to put breakfast out early for us. Really good service. The shuttle service to the main centre of Vico is necessary as there are few amenities in the Marina d'Aqua other than some lovely restaurants - not even working ATM machine and the waterfront is 90% taken up with restaurants so there is very little public space adjacent to the sea.

We arrived and due to illness our room was still occupied. However we were found a room at the hotel next door with the same facilities and of a very good standard. The hotel did their best really in a difficult situation

A little gem
A lovely little gem of a hotel set in a lovely small harbour. Our room was lovely with a sea view and balcony.The staff where fantastic and went out of there way to help us with any queries. You need a car.. Breakfast was lovely breads .meats, ham, boiled eggs etc ,and also a small fridge in our room. loved it.

LOVELY PLACE
We went out of season so not a lot to do - restaurants closed apart from the Pizza place! Free shuttle bus to and from the town. A great place to chill out!

Small hotel opposite mariner
Small room but in a good position - all 8 rooms have balconies looking over the marina and the Bay of Naples with Vesuvius opposite. Very very helpful staff. Curtesy taxi to town and station - need to book at least an hour in advance. It is possible to walk into Vico Equense but many steps up the hill (ok to walk down if you have the time!). The marina has a number of restaurants and bars but can get busy so book. Cheap train service from Vico Equense runs around the Bay of Naples from Sorrento to Naples - useful for Herculaneum and Pompeii (within walking distance of relevant station). Also try Funivia del Monte Faito from Castellammare Di Stabia station (walk along the platform to the cablecar booking office).

Delightful situation.
Great hotel in idyllic location. Breakfast on the first day was excellent, on the second what was left of the first , on the third what was left on the second, on the fourth what was left of the third etc. a bit disappointing. Excellent staff were more than willing to provide a shuttle service up to town every day, although there were only two of us on two occasions.

Stellar small boutique hotel - seaside sounds.
Stellar and genuinely friendly staff. Lovely breakfast (I've never seen so many breakfast cakes for such a small boutique hotel breakfast!). Local area is secluded (arrive down a narrow winding road). Comforting seaside sounds at night. Quiet environment. Well located to drive to Sorrento/Amalfi etc. Bright cheerful colors and lovely balcony.

Small hotel great base for sightseeing
Hotel right on the waterfront with beautiful view of Vesuvius. The staff are helpful and made us welcome with a cup of coffee on arrival. Tastefully decorated in white and blue and each of the eight bedrooms had a balcony with seaviews. Breakfast is a choice of cereals, yoghurt, cheese, salami, loads of different pastries, fruit and freshly ground coffee or tea. As much as you can eat! The hotel is a long way down from the main road so would recommend hiring a car. We found the train very good and cheap and went to Naples and Sorrento. You could also use it to visit Pompei as station is close to these fascinating ruins. The bus too is good if you don't fancy the cliff edge drive to Positano! I would highly recommend this small hotel for its placement, for helpful staff and good atmosphere.

I'm sure this would be a lovely place to stay in season but out of season and with no transport it was hopeless - nowhere for dinner and a long walk to the train. However the staff were very friendly and helpful and the room clean and bright

Staff were not consistent they were all nice but Atilio stood out for his going the extra mile to try & help us in anything he could. He arranged someone from a local restaurant to pick us up to have dinner like locals. There are many restaurants around but many were closed as season was over. Very good breakfast. Lovely hotel. Bed was on the hard side but I had no problems sleeping. Hotel is a bit hard to find. They were always happy to make us coffees when we got back from touring all day and it was very relaxing to take them in our balcony or in the lobby.

Lovely hotel with great views ....
We loved this hotel and were delighted when we saw our room. Although the decor is simple and unfussy, the colours are just gorgeous and little touches make it so pretty. All rooms have balconies looking towards the Bay of Naples with Vesuvius and Ischia the dominant features - and overlooks the harbour of Seiano. The free shuttle taxi makes it really accessible with lifts to Vico Equense - ideal base for touring the Sorrento peninsular and Bay of Naples. Breakfast was good and a comfortable lounge area next to the entrance was very pleasant on a wet day. The staff are soooo helpful and I was very grateful to them for helping me out with a problem. Can't fault this lovely family run hotel and would recommend to anyone.

Lovely small hotel with a personal touch
First impressions come from the friendly and helpful staff and the beautiful decor. Le Ancore is a special place to stay. Wonderful views over to Vesuvius from the bedrooms. Breakfasts at Le Ancore are delightful, especially when taken on the terrace. A boat to Capri from the harbour opposite is a real must.

Vico Equense--between Naples and Sorrento
Vico Equense is lovely. Le Ancore is down in the marina area which is about a 10-15 min drive from the main part of town. Great service and lovely view of the port. The hotel has a very nice breakfast and the staff is warm and hospitable.

Beautiful Views of Mount Vesuvius
The hotel is a nice small hotel. Views of Mount Vesuvius and the water are seen from the room balconies. The staff is nice and friendly, specially Bernardette, who was just sooo nice and helpful and spoke English :-) And Dino, who spoke very little English but gave us a ride to the center of town, which was really nice of him! Breakfast is basic with cereals, breads, pastries, and capuccinos (delicious by the way). If you don;t have a car, the center of town (Vico Equense) is a long trek from the hotel.

Le Ancore is a great choice for staying in Vico Equense
Fantastic experience. We were glad to have chosen it, and would definitely stay there again. The location was right near the water, at the marina. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice, plus it had a nice balcony looking out over the water. The breakfast was tasty and the coffee, as is of course more common than not being in Italy, was delicious.

Bel hôtel familial. Les chambres sont lumineuses et parfaitement entretenues. Magnifique vue sur le Vésuve et la baie de Naples depuis l’hôtel et le balcon des chambres. Excellent accueil et service remarquable.
