This property was a little up the mountain from Sorrento but had very convenient transportation into the city center running through the day and into late at night. Quiet, peaceful surroundings and amazing views. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful views of Sorrento city and Naples Bay, also Mt Vesuvius! Super friendly staff and great rooms with kitchenette if you need it. Breakfast included with delicious coffee and pastries. The shuttle service was great and convenient to take us to the city every day. The pool was great for the hot days !!

Amazing views and location! Great room! VERY nice host! Hotel goes above and beyond to accommodate the guests. When we arrived we had an issue with a room being downgraded from what we reserved , however, it was resolved the next day. Hotel provides free laundry , small complementary breakfast , free shuttle to/from Sorrento (10 min ride). We also enjoyed the pool. There is a nice restaurant on property as well as other dining options such the Farm restaurant that provides complimentary pick up/ drop off ( strongly recommend for an authentic experience) or pizza delivery . The location is perfect - easy access to Sorrento, Pompei or Capri as well as a great starting point for Amalfi coast. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone!

Not exactly a 'Hotel'
The thing that sells this place is definitely the amazing views! If you read previous reviews stating lush little boxes of goodies to stock your fridge then forget it..its literally bare bones! Breakfast if you call it that is a croissant and a paper coffee cup which is handed over up on the terrace..you have to ask for it..nothing laid out absolutely no choice of anything. Our room was like sleeping in a cave totally no sunlight entered it so it was very damp we had to put the heating on every night. We had to ask for the top cover to be changed on the bed as it had disgusting marks on it..clearly not changed from previous people. Theres lots of steps down to the pool area..a few day beds and some weird plastic chairs around the pool..the sun dissappears after 2pm so we had to then go up to the terrace where the sun was. Badly looked after chairs up there very weathered and like sitting on bags of potatoes! No bar open but they will get you a drink if you ask..we saw others getting drinks and being told no charge but my husband said he was to pay..very confusing it depended who served you..most of the staff were very helpful and pleasant though. Very strict on mask wearing. A free bus offered every hour down to the town stops at a few hotels on the way..but that stopped just before we left and the owner now takes you in his jeep which is not comfortable and social distance is a joke! also he drops you about a mile from the town..would we return? not a chance..

From the spectacular view from our balcony, to the excellent staff, I would rate this high. It was my birthday, and when they made a restaurant reservation for us they had a beautiful birthday cake delivered to the table. This lovely family owned hotel shows great pride of ownership. Fresh warm sweet rolls delivered to your room each morning. We traveled by car, parked it, and for our 3 night stay we took their free shuttle bus, that runs every 20 minutes and takes you down to the center of Sorrento, and brings you back. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

A wonderful visit!
We had a wonderful few nights here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast bags of fresh bread and pastries were delightful! The view was incredible. The picture doesn't do justice to the view. Umberto was an excellent host. It was a great base of operations for exploring the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, and Capri Island. The room was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed it thoroughly.

The view from this property is spectacular. The staff are very professional and accommodating. We utilized the complementary shuttle bus service daily. The hot pastries and bread delivered to our room everyday was a nice touch. I have been recommending this treasure of a hotel to my friends and family.

We loved our visit to Sorrento. It’s a perfect location for day trips all around the Amalfi Coast. We didn’t mind the shuttle bus to the city center. It was so calm and quiet at night which was a nice change of pace and made for a relaxing stay. The daily pastries and cappuccinos were delicious!

This hotel is family run and they are very friendly and helpful. We had a 4 bed apartment with a sea view and weren't disappointed, the view was amazing. We loved having breakfast delivered in the morning and our fridge stocked by the cleaners because there was plenty to keep us snacking all day. There is no restaurant at the hotel, but the courtesy bus takes you down to the town every hour and takes about 15/20 mins which is not a problem. The pool was never busy and sometimes we had it to ourselves. The only downside was that the sun went from the pool about 3/4 o'clock in the afternoon.

When booking make sure to request the 2 floor suites or like is will have a plain room with a terrace. This hotel is wonderful, great views, great shuttle service back and forth to downtown sorrento (15 minutes) pool is lovely! Free cappuccinosbin the mornings along with breakfast in your mailbox! Great spot to relax and enjoy the gorgeous views of Sorrento!

Exploring Sorrento - Amalfi & Ravello
Initially when finding the hotel we were afraid it was isolated and not convenient to the sites of interest. however, whilst not in Sorrento itself, you have amazing views and there is a free shuttle bus from the hotel into Sorrento which runs continuously. From reception for €8 you are able to buy a 24 hour bus ticket which allows you to travel to and from Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. Great value.

My elderly mother and I had a lovely holiday here. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. We had a fire on the first night and I would say that procedures for evacuation need a review as I think they were " caught on the hop" with it being the start of the season.NB lots of steps and over bath shower hard for older people but my mum coped ok.

Selected this hotel based on previous reviews and it exceeded our expectations. The room accommodated 4 people and had a balcony with sea view. The room was amazing - two level, clean, tasteful décor, fridge, cooking facilities. The view overlooked, the sea, Sorrento and mountains behind - breath-taking! Large selection buffet style breakfast. The staff were extremely helpful and the free, hourly transportation down into Sorrento made it very easy to enjoy the town at your convenience. I would definitely recommend this hotel and location, and would love to visit again some day.

AMAZING VIEWS. Seriously. This is one peaceful hotel. The food is amazing and so reasonably priced. They had the best chocolate soufflé we've ever had. Pool is wonderful. The balcony was awesome. A/C in room worked great. Tiny shower/not crazy about the small bathroom. Wide variety breakfast-- so many dessert-like pastries but thankfully also hard-boiled eggs. Only problem we had was at check-in. I booked with hotels.com and reserved a room for 5 ( 2 adults, 3 teens). I called hotels.com because I was afraid the room didn't have enough beds and asked if it could hold 5 people. Yes, yes the hotels.com agent assured me. When we checked in, the younger male worker was kind of rude about it-- "we don't have a room to fit 5 only 4." I told him I called and they assured me it did and I showed him my hotels.com confirmation sheet. He said "that's hotels.com error-- you should have called us directly. " I thought we weren't going to be able to stay and was feeling so sad /kinda mad but then he said he could add a bed and would charge us ** more per night. Not happy that hotels.com gave me incorrect info when I went the extra step and called them to make sure we'd be all set. Wasn't crazy about his attitude at reception at first either but it all ended up working out... He gave us water as we sat and enjoyed the view waiting for the bed to be added. They have a free shuttle to the downtown which is necessary as taxis are quite pricey. I would stay here again.

The hotel had an awesome view and the staff was so nice. They provided breakfast in the morning which was very good. The room was very clean and very comfortable. There were a couple things though. The WiFi in the room didn't work. It only worked if we sat out on the porch, but good thing it was an amazing view! We weren't in the room that much anyway. Also, when we arrived in the city we could not find where the shuttle picks us up. It was very frustrating but we eventually found it. The shuttle made it very convenient going back and forth to the city. Overall it was a great experience and I want to come back to this city and stay at this exact same hotel again.

The staff at La Terrazze were wonderful. It's family-run, and they were incredibly accommodating. The hotel is way at the top of the mountain, so you need a shuttle to get back and forth, and that only runs until midnight. Cabs to the centro cost about $50! The breakfast is wonderful at Le Terrazze, and the views are incredible. The rooms with little terraces are very nice, but not all of them have them. If you're going to stay here, I recommend the upgraded terrace rooms.

A View from the hill
The hotel is set on the side of a steep hill overlooking Sorrento. There is a hotel next door but nothing else around. Reception is on the top level, with rooms down different levels of steps. There is a good view of the Bay from the terrace at the top but our view was blocked by 2 large trees growing out the side of the hill! The hotel only gets sun in the morning as it is on the east side which meant no afternoon sun or evening sunset. The room was adequate - a double bed and day bed for my son. The bed was a little uncomfortable. We didn't use the cooking facilities but there was a stove top, fridge and some utensils. Breakfast was 'cold' meats and cheeses as well as a selection of pastries, served in a very warm and sunny room. There were a couple of fruit juices in jugs but these tasted very watery. Breakfast was served over a 2 and a half hour period but the food wasn't served from a chiller which meant yogurts, meats and cheeses were warm. The hotel has a shuttle bus which runs every hour in the morning until 12pm and then starts again at 4pm. whilst you can walk down the steep hill, there are sections that you need to walk on the road which doesn't have a pavement - we observed some very erratic driving skills! The staff were very helpful, arranging for local restaurants to collect us for dinner in the evening. This meant we were able to both enjoy a glass of local wine and also introduced us to Le Grotelle, where we had our best ever Italian meal.

Sorrento stay
The hotel has a lovely view as it sits higher up the cliff, which requires a bus transfer to Sorrento's main town. We used the hotel's shuttle bus service, which was handy enough. We did experience a flooded room because of a freak storm one morning but the owner was quick to dry out the room, and apart from a slightly wet suitcases, no harm was done. If you don't need to be closed to the centre of Sorrento, this hotel is good, with its amazing view and also a nice swimming pool. But bewared that there's nothing around the hotel.

A haven of peace amongst all the hustle and bustle
Really enjoyed our stay at Le Terazze, it has fantastic views over Sorrento and the hotel was clean and well looked after. The staff were friendly and helpful. Courtesy bus was excellent and made staying out of the main town so easy and accessible. Our room with a patio/terrace was lovely and great to relax after a busy day sightseeing.

Place and atmosphere . I would highly recommend this place . Fantastic . Will Definately be going back . most enjoyable !!! Room with a view
If you're looking for a relaxing break this is the place for you. We were upgraded on arrival and made feel very much welcome. We chose to drive here as we were doing a trip with several stops, but I would probably discourage drives who are less experienced or anyway nervous. Steep bendy roads that are made all the more difficult to negotiate by local drivers. Getting into nearby Sorrento is made easy with the hotel's free shuttle bus that runs regularly from early in the morning until late at night. The free breakfast provided was delicious, probably the best hotel breakfast we experienced on our trip. I would recommend this hotel for a relaxing couple break. There are quite a few stairs to negotiate to get to the majority of the rooms and the pool. Nothing ridiculous, but For anyone less mobile or with lots and lots of luggage the stairs may be more difficult to negotiate.

This was our second visit. We had an excellent room for a family with fridge and basic cooking facilities and patio - with fantastic views over the bay of Naples and Vesuvius - where we ate most nights. Staff were very helpful and were happy to let us change room as the room we had was a bit small for my wife and I and our two teenagers. Second room was very large and on two levels.Hotel trip to Capri arranged through the hotel was good with great views of the island, but be warned that the boat does not go to the main port, but one on the far side of the island. No negative comments, except the size of the first room and a few extra items of cooking equipment would have been appreciated.

Lets get over with the good parts first, because they are very very few: - awesome view - great breakfast And now the bad: 1. Horrible location: if you dont have a car, you are stuffed. dont get fooled by the "1 km from Sorrento". The hotel is atleast a 15 minutes drive up a winding road. If you take a taxi, it will cost you 40 Euros! There are some buses that run, but this is Italy, so they are tempramental at best. They can be as much as 90 minutes late, and if they arrive, they may never stop at the bus stop. 2. Depressing rooms: The rooms are depressing, dimly lit, noisy and musty 3. Dirty bathrooms : grimy and old fittings 4. No restaurant at the hotel: while they do serve breakfast, there is no restaurant for lunch or dinner. They do have some arrangements with a couple of restaurants, but you at their mercy. In short i would not stay there again.

Disappointing last night in the region.
One night stop over during our last night on the Amalfi coast. Paid an extra premium to ensure we had a sea view room. Check-in staff were friendly and told us we had been given the BEST room. The terrace was definitely better than the other rooms as it was slightly above them, but the room was disappointing. We were given an apartment which on the face of it sounded good, but in reality wasn't nice. I had intentionally selected a hotel room rather than apartment as well. The room had an unpleasant musty smell, strongest in the bathroom. We left the tiny bathroom extractor fan on but it didn't improve. I really did not like being in the bathroom. Additionally the shower had been squeezed into a small gap in the wall, like an under stairs cupboard. Once shower door was closed there was no light. The bedroom had a fireplace, but not one that could be lit as it was too close to the bed (no logs or coal anyway). The room had no windows and so the only seaview was from outside on the terrace; we could have had this from sitting at the main terrace anyway. No wifi in the room either so had to make my Skype call in public area. Check out was early so we had to leave after breakfast without enjoying the place. Views are indeed good and breakfast fine - neither amazing nor poor. If the room was nicer it would have been ok but unfortunately for +€100 we were expecting much nicer experience. If we'd arrived earlier in the day we would have complained and sought another room.

View from the hotel was breathtaking. The breakfast was very good with variety. The pool was very nice. The room was damp and musty. The room was very large with a kitchenette and large terrace out front to sit. The lock on the second outside door by the veranda was not secure but as the hotel staff said, the area is very safe. For the $, the Miramar was better and closer to down town.
