Great location for central Sorrento.Posted Oct 3, 2015
Pros: Location, size, helpfulness of staff
Cons: Signage to the hotel was good until the very end where it was most needed.
Location: Short walk to the historic center. Lots of restaurants and shops within a short walk.
This was a delightful hotel. Small but very well situated to the city center. Somewhat hard to find as it was tucked into a narrow side street. Parking is available for a fee but one has to check into the hotel to get the details. Staff was very helpful. We re-confirmed our reservation based on some recent reviews. Room Marguerita was spacious. Breakfast was served either inside or outside in a covered garden area.

Great hotel tucked away for a relaxing stayPosted Sep 28, 2015
This is a really nice hotel tucked a little bit away from the main part of Sorrento old town. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. It was a great spot that I'd stay at again in the future.

Good Place in Difficult TownPosted Sep 22, 2015
Excellent hotel, but hard to find. Do NOT try to use Sorrento as a base by car. Immense time wasted because of the traffic, both going into town and getting out (e.g. 45 minutes to go 4 km). For travelers using only the train, the town would be better; and the hotel is not far from the station. Except for the old part of town near the ocean, Sorrento is very ugly, crowded, and traffic-ridden. Of course, the general area is gorgeous, but it is overpopulated by buses, cars, and people. The Relais is well run and friendly, with good facilities and a sheltered feel. Overall, I recommend the hotel highly, but I was disappointed in Sorrento. Positano is easier to negotiate and more beautiful. I don't know what 0-star quality is. But I think the Relais is very good for its price.

Lovely hotel close to city centrePosted Sep 19, 2015
Had a really good stay at Villa Angiolina very close to the centre of town, shops and restaurants all within easy walking distance. Very good breakfast every day until 10.30. Car park was quite expensive equal to £11 a day.

Great BnBPosted Aug 21, 2015
Nice gem only 2 blocks away from downtown Sorrento. Very friendly staff, nice courtyard, spacious rooms with AC that actually get cold versus most of Italy and Europe. Despite only blocks from downtown Sorrento and beach it is very quiet. Highly recommend!

Great locationPosted Jul 27, 2015
Warm welcome, staff very helpful and gave us maps to find our way around. Very close to old town and port, all walking distance. Pretty gardens and quiet location. Staff helped us book an excursion to Pompei and Capri by boat which we would definitely recommend, all transport was of a high standard and on time, great staff and we were very well looked after all day. Hotel also booked us a taxi to return to the airport, also very high standard and prompt. Very nice hotel and would stay there again

Elegant and friendly small hotelPosted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: Covered above. We liked the whole experience.
Cons: The coffee machine can be a challenge to non-Italians, but we worked it out!
Location: As stated, Angiolina is just outside the old walls. The historic centre is small, so everything is near by.
We stayed a week in the Gardenia room, which is a good size and simply but well designed. Breakfast was on the terrace by the beautiful and peaceful front garden. The buffet is continental with adequate choice. The location is just outside the old town walls so everything in the centre, including the port and the train station, is within easy walking distance. All the hotel staff were friendly and capable; the tours they booked up for us worked well. As a small hotel Angiolina does not have 'big-hotel' features like conference rooms but it is a very good choice for anybody who is looking for a relaxing and peaceful stay close to the old city.
