Great place to detox and relax

Posted Jul 11, 2017
The resort is located in the rain forest near a small town. This is the perfect place to relax and detox for COUPLES! The hotel staff is great and very accommodating. I highly recommend this place if you want a quiet and private vacation.

Beautiful View, but OK stay

Posted May 3, 2017
Pros: We love the view and the peaceful area. The security at the hotel seemed good. The food was tasty.
Cons: Front desk staff to be more friendly and helpful. Make the food costs more reasonable.
Location: We saw a lot. We went to the sugar beach, Sulfuric volcano, Castries shopping, Rum distillery, sunset cruise.
The location is gorgeous and the view is stunning. The rooms are OK, rustic is a good description. The private pool is perfect and relaxing. The outdoor shower was great. But the bed was super uncomfortable. The toilet kept running and we smelt sewage one night really bad. We let the staff know but they blamed the Sulfic volcano near by...not sure that was what we smelt so strong in our locked bedroom at night. Only expect air conditioning in the bedroom but that was fine. The kitchen was very simple. The restaurant had good food but super $$$$$. Dinner for 2 with no drinks was $130 a night. Breakfast was free and delicious. The restaurant staff was amazing! We brought a lot of snacks to eat since we had a feeling it would be pricey. So be prepared for very $$ drinks and meals. No bugs and the weather was gorgeous. The tours were very pricey too....a tip would be to work with a taxi driver to drive you around instead of the hotel. We were welcomed nicely but at the end of checkout we were never given a thank you or a smile. We had a communication problem with the front desk staff when we were on an excursion and they didn't seem concerned that we were unhappy. So be weary of that when it comes to booking excursions with them.

Hi Healy, we're glad you appreciated the view, but are concerned to hear about some of the issues you seem to have experiences. We are very highly regarded for our level of service and are sorry to hear you received anything less than a stellar experience. Regarding the sulfuric smell, this does indeed originate from a nearby sulfur spring and can seem quite strong at times. Hope to see you again soon!

We enjoyed every moment of our stay at this lovely location -- The view of the Petit Piton, private pool, and comfortable villa couldn't have been nicer! It completely met and exceeded our expectations. We were also quite pleased with the food and service at the on-site restaurant. The staff was very pleasant and responsive to our needs -- even packing up a breakfast of fruit and muffins for us the night before since we were heading out for a hike early the next day before the restaurant would be open.

Private and Quiet Villa with a View

Posted Mar 7, 2017
We loved Stonefield Estate. It was very hilly, but a beautiful resort that was very quiet and private. We stayed in Hibiscus, at the end of the lane. Loved the private pool and outdoor shower. Bed was not as comfortable as home. Take your key when you leave the Villa so you are not locked out! The landscaping by Pancho and his team was beautiful, as were the breathtaking views of the ocean and Petit Piton each morning. Staff was helpful arranging excursions and taxis, though they did forget to schedule our taxi back to the airport, which was remedied quickly. Food at restaurant was good, though pricey. We loved the professional service from Sherryann, Larus, and Vanita (not sure of spelling). Great spot to explore Soufriere, including hiking Gros Piton!

Exceptional

Posted Feb 24, 2017
Pros: The villa, views, staff and the peace.
Location: There is plenty to do nearby from the local beach to the climbing of the pitons. The must visit to the rainforest and volcanic springs.
From the first moment we stepped into the villa the whole holiday exceeded our expectations. The views from the villa were picture postcard especially first thing in the morning when you opened the veranda doors and you could see the majestic petit piton. The swimming pool was much larger than we expected also there was a patio area with two loungers, a table with two chairs and a hammock. The villa its self was extremely comfortable with a spacious kitchen and dinning area. the bedroom had two wardrobes and a 4 poster bed. The bathroom area had an outside shower and two sinks with ample room. All the staff were extremely friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The restaurant were we had breakfast and on occasions dinner was very good with lovely food and atmosphere. The whole holiday at Stonefield was special and we will be visiting again soon.

Unbelievable setting and awesome villas

Posted Jan 14, 2017
Location: Tet Paul Nature Trail is an easy hike with amazing views of the Pitons. An absolute must. Sugar beach and Anse Chastanet.
We switched last minute from an airbnb, which was on the edge of Soufreire, and we are so glad we did. We only booked a garden view villa but got upgraded to ocean view with a private pool. The setting is mind blowing and the property is great. I have a hard time understanding how much nicer some of the resorts in the area could be that would justify paying 2-3x more. I guess maybe all inclusive (which we didn't want) or direct beach access to Sugar Beach or Anse Chastanet would be their only selling points. We had a car though, so it was easy to visit a number of different beaches in the area.

nice big room

Great room. Pool water was a little cold, but magnificent view. The restaurant wasn't the best, but not bad. Would definitely go back. I recommend renting a car if you are going to stay here.
