Customer service

We arrive to the airport at 9pm so we called the receptionist to let them know that we are taking the yellow bus to the motel. The inidan lady told us that we will need to wait 30 minutes for the next bus to arrive. We waited. No yellow bus arrived for over an hour. We called them back asking what has happened and all we get is the receptionist talking to someone else in Indian and asking us where we are situated even though we were sitting at the exact place she told us wait when we first called her. We ended up arriving at the motel around 11pm. Thinking we would at least get an apology for making us wait in the cold at night, we acted politely and all we got were the receptionist/s talking about us in Indian whilst pointing at us without telling us what’s wrong and calling the yellow bus company very rudely and loudly which we did not need within 5 minutes of our arrival. At 11pm it was pitch black so it couldn’t see anything with barely any lamps/lights around the area and we just got a really terrible direction of where our room is. One the Indian guy offered to show us but the receptionist lady cut his offer out and forced him to do something else in front of us who were confused. The room was pleasant for only one night however would recommend the motel to have newer number stickers because they were clearly faded, we were lucky that the room 2 doors from us had the full stickers on. Also the lock in room 101 could be fixed as we struggled to lock/unlock the door.

Wifi Connection very bad. Almost unusable. Clean motel with basic services. Airport Shuttle for 2 NZD per Person. Staff not as gentle as expected. Acceptable restaurant.

Staff need to know the configuration of the rooms

Pros: Location was close to the airport but you didn't hear the planes or traffic from the road
Cons: Décor is tired
Booked a room with a queen and single bed online. Receptionist confirmed this was correct then gave us the keys to a room with just a queen bed in it. She seemed surprised when we went back to reception to hear this and gave us the key to another room with "this should have a queen and single in it" Luckily it was. Our room was functional, clean and tidy. The bathroom lacked a towel rail and there was only a 1/4 of a toilet roll on the holder

Not what I booked.

Pros: convenient location
Cons: Information about extra charges
Location: Within 5 Kms of airport. Good shopping and restaurants 19 minutes walk.
Booked through Expedia but had read Motel website. Free parking turned into $5.00 per day and shuttle to airport was also charged. The motel claim was that booking through Expedia incurred parking charge. Another guest booked direct and faced the same charge. I will look for a better motel next time even if it costs more because if you add the parking charge, Kiwi is among the most expensive..

Great motel..staff not very informative..3x I rang to get I formation about the shuttle..was told just find the yellow bus at gate 4! Didn't realise we didn't need to pay for the shuttle after I brought a ticket and handed it to the bus driver! Arrived at the motel after 11pm ..only one food vending machine for snacks..money only! Nowhere to eftpos money either! Overall great amenities..lack of communication..

quiet location

Pros: large rooms with kitchen easy access on the lower
Cons: Office staff public relation skills
Location: didnt see much just a little bit far from airport
Enjoyed our stay nice quiet comfortable good size room easy access although the office staff needs more public relation skills when they are speaking to their customers and bus driver was not helpful he had left a lady pasenger behind because she was late inconsiderate and when we got to the airport first stop was domestic everyone was confused he didnt explain himself although we could see what was happening .

ok Motel

Pros: Ok rooms, clean comfortable bed . Bathrooms etc very worn out and in need of updating.
Cons: Customer service skills need to be worked on. Staff trained so they give correct information. None were very friendly and they didnt look happy.
Location: Location was good for what we were after.
Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable. The rooms were just a little tired looking and needed updating. Had 3 rooms booked , on arrival found they had already charged cc for total even though we wanted to split the cost. Then told no we paid expedia and wouldnt give receipt. Checked next day they said my cc was charged and could get receipt on departure. Tried on departure and was told again no I couldnt get a receipt as we paid expedia. Gave up. Jumping in car, staff came to door and apologised saying we did pay and gave me a receipt. Went to hotel restaurant for a meal at 0830 pm, meet by unsmiling staff. Meal was dreadful, fish was rubbery and old with strange coating. Just finished meal and told we had to go and pay as they were closing. Paid and sat down again as finishing drinks. Told we couldn't stay there as they wanted to close. So booted out.

Very tired room

Pros: Close to airport, staff were very friendly
Cons: See above, refurbish the rooms.
Close to airport where I was working, but room was very tired; mattress springs and padding deceased, kitchen doors would not close, I could easily have a conversation with the people in the next room, and the room smelt of dust. Just too dated and tired. I guess you pay for what you get. Staff in reception were delightful however.
