Expedia Said NonSmoking & Hotel Only Had Smoking

Expedia needs to update their system quicker! Expedia had me book a nonsmoking queen room that wasn't available. The hotel only had smoking rooms available. So here I am arriving late night with a sleeping toddler to find out the only have smoking available. We took the room anyway because we were so exhausted and luckily to room itself didn't smell to horrible. However the hallway was filled with cigarette smoke and smelled awful. We had to we some towels and put them at the bottom of the door to block off the cigarette smoke filled air from coming in our room and at a window cracked open for fresh air. The hotel staff lady was very nice about our situation and friendly. But I'll think twice before staying at another extended stay and I will never book through Expedia again!

Just needed to sleep somewhere

Pros: Nice staff
The door to the room I was given did not lock; you could push on it and it would open. Given another room. Bed was very hard, I woke up stiff and sore. Stairs to lobby looked like it hadn't been swept in weeks. A/C didn't cool room well. Cleaning staff pushing rubbish bin to dumpsters along back parking lot sounded like a jet taking off and woke me on all four trips. (needs soft tires) Doors closing hard reverberated through the thin walls kept waking me. No ice in ice tray. Window gaps allowed wind to make whistling sound.

The staff was great.

Staff was fabulous and attentive, but, the room/bed was not a comfortable stay.

My stay

The air conditioning/ heater would not get warm or heat the room. The water in the shower was lukewarm never would get hot. The bed was extremely hard and not comfortable at all. Will never stay at a Extended Stay Hotel again.

I woke up to someone smoking in their room or the hall. It was disgusting!!

Room was average. Bathroom shower curtain was broken/pulled out off the wall. Staff was attentive and helpful.

The staff saw me but didn't greet me until I raised my voice saying hello the third time. When checking in, the staff asked information such as personal email address, the employer etc. According to the staff, they collect those information for marketing purpose. When I found out they mistakenly book me for smoking room and wanted to cancel the room. The staff asked me to call Expedia. I contacted the Expedia and had Expedia call the hotel. The staff told Expedia she couldn't do the cancellation due to some policy, which she could have told me directly in the first place. Very unfriendly and inhospitable staff.
