Nice hotel Needs improvementsPosted Mar 6, 2018
Check in was fine . Room beautiful. Not enough towels ; deposit fee for extra towels Toilet paper wasn’t readily available. For the amount paid . I believe all I asked for should’ve been included with the resort fees. Perfect location !

Bad Customer ServicePosted Mar 6, 2018
Paid for a balcony room when I got there” They said first come first serve if you like it to leave. Anna should not be working the front desk, very very poor service. And don’t expect full roll of toilet paper in the room. Give them till next day for the toilet paper to be dropped of to your room.

The comforter had dry blood all over it. I didn't not even an apology. I would not recommend this hotel. I been going to south beach for the last 18 years and stayed a various hotels and never experienced so a horrible situation.

Room was nice and roomy. Only two skimpy towels and crappy pillows

My worst experience everPosted Feb 27, 2018
I'm a pretty easy going traveller. This was horrible. We showed up late from our flight - 12:30 AM. The clerk took about half an hour to find our reservation (I think he was new and was looking at a blank screen as he didn't know what to do). He gave us a card and told us the room number - the card didn't work. Then he told us to go to another room, again the card didn't work. Then he let us in the room with his master key and we walked in to a room occupied with sleeping guests. He did this four times - we walked into occupied rooms four times and he didn't even knock first. While he was still trying to find us a room, patrons were coming down to the lobby wondering why someone was walking into their room at 1AM. Finally he gave us a room - albeit with no key - said we could get our key in the morning, and the room was dirty - a cockroach was on my daughters leg within five minutes. We moved to another hotel finally at 4AM, and the Congress still charged us for a full nights stay.

Once was very nice hotelPosted Feb 4, 2018
I've stayed here every year and it seems that the hotel is falling deeper into disrepair from burnt out elevator buttons to broken pull out beds to jammed emergency exits. When you call the hotel it rings and then goes to voicemail which is full. It literally takes more than a dozen items to get a hold of a person. The location and suite style room layout and rooftop pool are all fantastic. The price is competitive and there are hidden fees (per person service charge, extra for room cleaning).

not as advertisedPosted Jan 30, 2018
Pros: Not much, Location to beach and the room had good kitchen facilities.
Cons: EVERYTHING could and should be improved. Remove pictures from website of facilities no longer available - pool bar! Fix Bath, Secure the entrance
Run down, No pool bar as advertised - where it should have been as in photos; completely removed. Very unfriendly staff, left bags there as couldn't check in yet - when returned they couldn't find our bags We had to go and find them in various different rooms outside the hotel, I booked a suite with a bath specifically as I have a bad back - it was broken so only the shower worked. I called reception and was told someone would come, no one came. Super noisy till 4am Very loud music, shouting from the bar underneath (Monday night) Bugs/Insects in bathroom Door (only) entrance from side of street didn't shut/lock so anyone could just come into hotel and use lifts. Stairwell full of drug paraphernalia and stench of smoke where people would hide for a joint.Seen it rated as 4 star! Was not even a 2 star hotel.

When we arrived not only had the hotel changed their name since the time of our booking without giving us any notification, they proceeded to add charges at check-in that we were not informed of before hand. Although the hotel has a very good location I got the vibe I was being ripped off the whole time.

Awesome Bday StayPosted Jan 22, 2018
Pros: Location, views, drinks, staff, balcony, bathroom, cozy bed
Location: Food, drinks, stores, beach, all nearby
I'm from Miami but I wanted a special beachside experience for my birthday! The Congress hotel was super accommodating and I loved the poolside views (the free breakfast and late checkout were major pluses)! We never wanted to leave. Thanks so much! My birthday is coming up again this year and I think I'll stay again!
