Great location and charming character to the building. Stay was spoilt by the lack of cleanliness and cockroaches present in bathroom. I’ve stayed in hotels before in hot and humid climates and to be honest you can expect the odd insect etc. but this was just neglect of cleanliness. It’s a really shame as the hotel feels like it was once something special. .

Do not stay at this hotel!
The room we booked was not available, so given different rooms. The rooms smelled strongly of weed and were very dirty and run-down - nothing like the photos in the listing. Roaches in the bathroom and the porcelain sink was broken, causing water to leak onto the floor anytime it was used. Do not stay here! I'm surprised they are still in business.

Not what it looks like
Loud noises all night, bad smoke smell in hallway. Lots of people blocking outside doors open so non guest can come and go at all hours of the night. No blanket only one towel

They didn’t have my room with two beds. They have two room that’s ok. But next day they removed all my things from one of the rooms because they didn’t have any records of it. They gave me a key for a room with someone there. Staff without any conunucation between each other. Hotel smells bad in the main lobby and stairs. Photos are not current hotel needs more cleaning. A lot noise in the hotel and no one to take care of it.

Stay away with this plan - specially with kids
This hotel is absolutely ridiculous, if you want to have an awful time, stay here, otherwise look forward with another hotel. I got to this hotel and they with no explanations said they had no rooms availability and I should by my own find another place to stay, after my flight got delayed, I got in Miami 1:00 AM with this very good news by a rude security. I had to walk 2 hours asking hotel by hotel if they have availability for walk-ins. Very awful experience, I really hope this hotel get what they deserve, that is bankrupt and at least hotels.com stop their partnership. I’ve been booking hotels with this company for years around the world and never had this experience before. I hope to get a refund at least. Stay away from this place.

While checking in, another guest offered me drugs and prostitutes (and offered to show pictures of the prostitutes whom he said were 18-19 years old). The front desk attendant did not appear surprised by the other guest’s offer at all. The walls are paper thin; it’s possible to hear specific conversations (as well as music) through the walls and I heard the doors to the hotel’s corridor opening and closing throughout night and early morning. The guy who offered prostitutes turned out to be my next door neighbor. I also observed a live cockroach behind the sink. I shared all of these occurrences with hotel staff and asked to be refunded for the second night so I could move to another hotel but there was no immediate response except that the staff member said refunding would be up to the manager. I received no follow up contact. I felt very unsafe and uncomfortable throughout the first night and I did not stay for the second night of my two night trip. There is a sign at the front desk stating as of April 1, the hotel will no longer rent rooms to guests whose address is Miami Beach. I believe this is an effort to reduce the rampant and brazen prostitution happening at the hotel and also perhaps to keep out local indigent people.

ROACHES, ROACHES AND MORE ROACHES. No soap. One small towel. Broken air conditioner. They rolled in a portable ac unit that was full of dust and looked moldy. Prime location in south beach. But disgusting cacaroaches running all over and scattering into the bed frame and furniture. I woke up with a spider or roach bite also. Nasty hotel.

Would never recommend this place!
The room looked nothing like the pictures, the bathroom was very run down and only had one set of towels, the stairs are very steep and there is no elevator so you had to carry your suitcases up the steep stairs yourselves.

The TV didn't work, there were holes on the floor, the towels were dirty and stained. The security guy made me feel unsafe and I read the reviews that he comes in in the middle of the night with his own key. I felt scared and very unsafe.

Besides the nice people working in the front you’re better off any where else in Miami. Cracks in the wall dirty/holes in the sheets and roaches running around on the floor and crawling on the walls. I don’t understand how places like this aren’t closed down due to some kind of inspection. The cheap costs the most. I would have rather slept outside with the homeless. The pictures of the hotel are really deceiving don’t be fooled.

First room dirty no ac second room told me door locks from inside no it doesn’t the door was broken some man entered my room in the middle of the night … the room with no access had window unit ground level anyone could easily come in … area had lots of mentally unstable people in street so for sure a safety concern … talked to man he didn’t seem to care still waiting on refund . No towels provided .. sheets only asked for more towels sheets was told he has none housekeeping gone .. refused to go to another room for any ..

I am terribly disappointed with the property .the room was all messy and dirty used napkins were lying on the bathroom counter top. Bedsheet has foul smell and dirty stains . I checked in to the room and saw these things in room and immediately decided to leave the hotel. I demanded for return but the hotel denied my return. I am highly disappointed. On top of it it was not at all safe . Me and my wife felt very unsafe around people in that premises.

First of all, the address they use is a taco restaurant, its around the corner not even visible from the address they use. They DO NOT answer the phones, so there is no way to ask directions. very frustrating. Parking for 2 nights was $100 extra. hallways smelled of weed and cigarettes, roaches crawling in the room, prostitute hanging by the gate. NO guests service, steep stairs, no offer of assistance with luggage. No continental breakfast as advertised No blankets, just a thin cheap sheet. 1 towel for 2 registered guests. There was a very loud fight under our window in the courtyard. we were woken up about 2am expecting gunshots - I expected more from Hotels.com. no way should they be promoting this place. I am disappointed that I used my earned credit from past stays on this DUMP

The bed sheets were clean, and the bathroom was cleanish. The building is old and smells a little strange, but if you’re just looking for a clean bed to sleep in for a cheap rate, then it’s a good deal. You’re getting what you’re paying for, don’t expect the Ritz. It’s a great location close to the beach, and lots of good restaurants around.

The hotel was not exactly as pictured at time of booking but beds were comfortable and room was clean. Breakfast could use a refresher as it needs more appeal and accommodation. Beach towels, clean towels, and ice (without a bucket) given at request. It was basic but in a nice price range had nice ascetic views, was in nice close to everything area, and within walking distance to the Beach.

Spacious corner room 109 is highly recommended for its huge windows on two walls. Suggestion: hotel needs to extend reliable WIFI coverage to 109 and other rooms far from the server.
